Dr. Benjamin Campbell is a board-certified physician with more than
15 years of experience in internal medicine and preventive care. He
earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still
University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona, where he
developed a strong foundation in whole-person, integrative care.
Before joining Well Aging Med, Dr. Campbell served as an internist
at Sutter Roseville Medical Center, providing comprehensive care to

practice, Dr. Campbell is passionate about the outdoors and enjoys

Dr. Denise Bogard has dedicated nearly 40 years to the health field,
transitioning from an RN to a nurse anesthetist and eventually
an anesthesiologist. As she entered her 50s, she noticed her own
health declining and sought out a healthy aging physician, leading
her to pursue a fellowship in regenerative and healthy aging through
the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. In 2014, she
established her own practice, focusing on identifying root causes of
health issues and integrating all body systems. Dr. Bogard’s practice
includes bioidentical hormone replacement, thyroid and adrenal
optimization, GI healing, peptide therapy, ozone therapy, PRP hair
therapy, body contouring, weight management, and more.
But Dr. Bogard’s compassion extends beyond simply caring for
her patients. Her community involvement and selfless service,
particularly with Hearts 4 Heroes—a nonprofit dedicated to
providing mental health and wellness care to our region’s brave
but vulnerable first responders—is unapparelled. Through her
remarkable contributions (actively participating in the organization’s
events and sponsoring pups for their Paw Platoon Placement
Program), she’s made a significant impact on the lives of the
courageous men and women served by Hearts 4 Heroes. Dr. Bogard

For more than 40 years, SWSS has been teaching swim
lessons and water safety for infants, kids, and adults
of all skill levels. This family-owned and operated swim
school started modestly in Steve Wallen’s backyard pool
in Folsom where they taught for over 20 years. In 2008,
Steve and his son Kaleb, who was just graduating as a
student athlete in swimming from UC Davis, decided to
go into business together and open an indoor, year-round
swim school in El Dorado Hills. This investment in the
business would allow them to meet demands and offer
year-round swim instruction to their students. Their
expansion was an instant success due to their hard work
and amazing reputation in the area. In 2018, they decided
to further expand their business and open a second
location in Roseville to help grow their business and
further their mission of teaching the life skill of swimming
in the community. Together this duo has grown this once
backyard business into one of the most popular and
respected swim schools in the area, teaching over 50,000
students to swim, including generations of families in the
Sacramento area. As Mr. Steve says, “Never, never, never
give up!”

My name is Jennifer Tommasini, the owner/director of The Gift of
Kids Daycare and Preschool. I’ve lived in El Dorado Hills for 21 years
and I have four children.
My journey into the childcare field began in 1999 when I was left
disappointed in my search for ”the right” childcare for my son. After
going through many programs and with my daughter on the way
(now working with Gift of Kids), I began to reflect upon my family’s
needs. It was then that I changed my career focus and ventured
into childcare. My mission is to provide a nurturing, loving, safe and
educational environment for every child.
In September 2000, I opened my home to start a daycare. I
immediately knew that this was my calling. Everything felt so
natural. I went back to school full time for early childhood education
and started my own preschool program that incorporated homecooked
meals, planned outings, and practiced an advanced
curriculum with structured activities that fostered learning.
In 2007 I opened a small pre-school with 60 families while
continuing my in-home daycare. In 2010 I expanded again,
bringing my preschool and in home-daycare under one roof- The
Gift of Kids and Preschool is now located off Labrobe Road in
Business Park 1. It has been a dream to serve so many children
and give families the satisfaction I never felt when my son was
in daycare. I pride myself on offering a safe place for families to
bring their children.
The Gift of Kids currently has 45 wonderful, loving, professional
teachers and over 300 children. We provide care for infants,
preschoolers, private kindergarten, and transport to local
elementary schools. Although the size seems large, the
classrooms have a homey feel where the teachers truly
care about each child’s development. We work together on
communicating with parents and developing each child’s
individual needs. It delights me that so many children have the
opportunity to experience our program.
After 25+ years in business, I am so proud to announce that we
have officially opened our SECOND location, The Gift of Kids
Nook!

After nearly 22 years, Cathy Tonks, founder of Designs with
You in Mind, still designs for one moment: that daily pinchme
feeling her clients get every time they walk through the
door.
Design has always been personal for Cathy, rooted in a love
of color, texture, and the transformative power of a welldesigned
space. In 2005, she founded Designs with You in
Mind to do what she loves most: create spaces that bring out
the best in the people who live in them. From her Granite
Bay studio, Cathy serves clients across Northern California
with luxury design-build projects ranging from kitchen and
bathroom remodels to new home construction. She works
alongside a team of subcontractors she has carefully chosen

Who is Dr. Sue?
I have had love, respect, and a fascination for
animals and nature all my life. Pets have been
an important addition to my family. We had
cats, dogs, and tortoises growing up in the
suburbs. Later, when I moved to the country,
I added horses to my life. When I attended
veterinary school at Western University of
Health Sciences in southern California, my
most constant and faithful roommates were
my cats Jazmine and Blanco and, later, Jasper.
They were always there to help me read or
study for an exam. They always “listened”
when I would explain to them in detail how
their organs functioned! It is never easy to
say goodbye to an animal friend. Knowing this
from personal experience, I wish to provide
comfort for pets and peace for their families
when it is time to say good-bye. Watching and
observing and being with nature and animals
provides peace and comfort to me. In my free
time, I like to hike and photograph nature.

Gail Lohmann is owner of Visiting Angels, the
