Departure from the Costa del Sol to travel inland through

the Guadalhorce Valley, the main hydrological reserve of the

province of Málaga.

Upon arrival in Ardales, a town of Roman and Arab origin, we

will begin a magnificent hike along the restored Caminito

del Rey walkways. We will then continue to the official

entrance of the Caminito del Rey. The newly accessible

paths have been recently rebuilt on the original sections

constructed between 1860 and 1866.

The route runs through the natural landscape of the

Gaitanes Gorge, a canyon carved by the Guadalhorce River,

with steep walls and impressive height, making it one of the

most spectacular landscapes in the province of Málaga.
