Touring. The first is that somewhere in
Britain a coach operator will be keeping
a close eye on the weather forecast.
The second is that the weather will

embrace shared seaside breaks in 2026

reporting strong growth in
group travel for 2026, with
group bookings increasing
by 12 per cent year-on-year
as more travellers choose
the value, convenience and
social benefits of
holidaying together.
The family-owned company
is seeing demand from
clubs, societies, friendship
groups and multigenerational
families
seeking hassle-free breaks
in some of the UK’s most
popular seaside
destinations.
Particularly strong growth
has been recorded at the
Barrowfield Hotel in
Newquay, where group
bookings have risen by
more than 60 per cent,
accompanied by a
significant increase in guest
numbers. The Prince
Regent Hotel in Weymouth
and the Abbey Lawn Hotel
in Torquay have also
delivered impressive
results, while Daish’s Hotel
on the Isle of Wight
continues to attract
growing numbers of
groups.

new chapter for one of
Oxford’s most historic
visitor attractions. The
rebrand reflects the
powerful stories of crime,
punishment and reform
that have become central
to the visitor experience
within its thousand-yearold
walls. While the
medieval castle remains an
important part of the site’s
heritage, visitor feedback
has shown that the prison’s
human stories resonate
most strongly with guests.
Alongside a refreshed
visual identity across the
attraction, website and
social media channels, new
tour elements will be
introduced in the coming
months. The rebrand
comes as Oxford Castle
Prison prepares for a busy

CTA Winter Networking
2026, which takes place
from 21–23 November and
brings together coach tour
operators, suppliers and
tourism partners for three
days of networking,
familiarisation visits and
business development
opportunities in
Bournemouth and the
surrounding area.
The event will be centred
around the Hilton
Bournemouth, one of the
town's leading hotels,
ideally positioned close to
the beach, Lower Gardens
and town centre
attractions. Designed to
combine valuable business
connections with first-hand
destination experiences,
the programme offers
delegates an opportunity to
discover new product ideas
while strengthening
relationships across the
coach tourism sector.
The event begins with a
choice of exclusive buyeronly
familiarisation trips on
Saturday 21 November.
These pre-event
experiences provide
operators with an in-depth
look at some of the region's
most appealing group travel
products.
The New Forest Experience
includes an overnight stay
