EDUCATIONAL
Digital Photography Course
Please bring your own digital camera,
handbook, CD for your camera and
USB cable. You will use windows
based program called Picasa 3. Start
with tips on taking good photographs
and the basic rules of photography.
Learn how you download pictures
into your computer from the camera
and how you can improve a photo
by cropping, enlarging, straightening
and adding light prior to printing or
saving them. Lastly learn how to
use the dial mode optons and multiselector
options on the camera.
Printing is discussed, where and how
pictures are stored although each
printer will have different features.
Class size is limited to 4 students and
each has access to a computer.

E-mail is the electronic way to send
and receive mail. It is instant and
easy to learn. In this course you
will learn how to send and recieve
e-mails. Learn how to organize
them. Also learn how to attach files
and photographs.

Everyone needs to keep their
brains active and there’s no better
way than with interesting, thought
provoking conversation with a
great group of people! To appeal
to fun and varied topics, each
session will offer two different
subjects to discuss. Whatever your
interest, there will be something
for everyone, from medical topics,
entertainment, social concerns and
everything in between. Come and
share your thoughts in a friendly,
informal and non-judgemental
format. Free with membership. On

“Characters” Theatre Group
Improve your memory, develop
confidence, have fun! These are
just three of the many reasons
to participate in CHARACTERS,
Kerrisdale’s comedy acting troupe.
All ages perform and help offstage
with the comedy shows that have
actors from six to 76 years of age
and from beginner to professional.
The only criteria are that you are
keen and understand that more is
involved than just learning lines.
Each show, originally written by
director, Angel Drummond, is an
hour long, has some song and
dance and has about 18 rehearsals.
