Barajas International Airport is approximately 13 kilometres
northeast of the city.
By train: the Madrid Metro operates from Terminal 2 and is
accessible from all other terminals and runs between 6.30am
and 1.45am. Line 8 runs towards the centre where you change
to Line 4 to reach more central locations.
By bus: Buses leave the terminal regularly between
6.30am and 1.00am for the city centre. The journey time is
approximately 30 minutes.
By taxi: Taxis are readily available and generally fast, but can
be expensive.

monuments during a walking tour of the city centre, including
