Barajas International Airport is approximately 13 kilometres<br />

northeast of the city.<br />

By train: the Madrid Metro operates from Terminal 2 and is<br />

accessible from all other terminals and runs between 6.30am<br />

and 1.45am. Line 8 runs towards the centre where you change<br />

to Line 4 to reach more central locations.<br />

By bus: Buses leave the terminal regularly between<br />

6.30am and 1.00am for the city centre. The journey time is<br />

approximately 30 minutes.<br />

By taxi: Taxis are readily available and generally fast, but can<br />

be expensive.<br />
