Dear Educator,
We are pleased to present our 2011-2012 K-12 Program Catalog, with over 4,200 programs to engage
your students. This catalog breaks down our content library by subject area and grade level to help you find
the perfect program to fit your needs.
I’d like to draw your attention to two new features of our catalog. First, we have included profiles of all of
our content partners. These producers create programming specifically for the classroom and provide us
with new programming every year. Second, take a look at the “New For Fall 2011” section, which
highlights the over 525 brand new programs that have been added to the CCC! library. Some highlights
from these new programs include:
• New additions to our best-selling Talking Maps series, focusing on bringing the people,
places and events of the Civil War into geographical context.
• Twenty programs in the new Geometry Applications series, which travels the world to bring
real-world applications of geometric concepts into the classroom. Find out why the
Eiffel Tower is such a strong structure and how the Ancient Romans built an elliptical
structure like the Colosseum.
• The new Great American Authors series profiles the lives and literary output of 64 great
authors from 1650 to the present, including William Faulkner, Edgar Allen Poe, and
Ernest Hemingway.
• Programming from around the world, in multiple languages; for example, 52 programs
from the Moko series take an “origin story” approach to explaining natural phenomenon,
and then dig into the real science; available in English, French, & Spanish.
We continue to both produce new content specifically for your classrooms, as well as expand our relationships
with outstanding educational producers worldwide. We are delighted to have the opportunity to bring
you and your students new, engaging programs every year.
If there’s ever anything we can do to assist you, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. Thanks so much
and have a wonderful school year!
Very best,
