Few places in Britain can match <strong>Glamis</strong> <strong>Castle</strong><br />
for romantic and royal connections.<br />
Ever since 1376, when Sir John Lyon brought his royal bride Princess Joanna, to <strong>Glamis</strong>, countless other royal<br />
figures have been enchanted by its romantic aura and setting. Among them were James VI of Scotland<br />
(James I of England) and Mary Queen of Scots.<br />
It was the childhood home of HM Queen Elizabeth �e Queen Mother, and HRH �e Princess Margaret was born here.<br />
�e Queen Mother and King George VI – then the Duke and Duchess of York – spent their honeymoon at <strong>Glamis</strong> in<br />
1923 and spent the summers of the interwar years here with the young princesses Elizabeth and Margaret.<br />

<strong>Glamis</strong> boasts many beautiful locations and<br />
settings, both outside and indoors, for the<br />
wedding ceremony – whether religious or<br />
civil – the reception and wedding banquet.<br />

Capturing some of the best moments on film<br />
will be of importance to you so while your guests<br />
are taking a guided tour of the castle you can<br />
choose to be photographed in some of the stately<br />
rooms. This includes the 17th century Drawing<br />
Room, the evocative Queen Mother’s Sitting<br />
Room or in the more ancient Crypt.<br />
