Coaching Resources<br />

Several new coaching resources were developed<br />

during the period including:<br />

• 2007 Trends of the Game<br />

• Twenty20 Touchdowns<br />

• Level Presenter Kits<br />

• National 8s Championships Finals Series<br />

• National Touch League Finals Series<br />

• Review and development of L2 presentation<br />

imagery<br />

• Review and update of several L documents<br />

TID Coach Program<br />

This initiative is incorporated in the NECAP Policy.<br />

Junior Coach Mentor Program<br />

Outcomes: Partially achieved, on-going.<br />

Comment: A policy on a National mentor program has<br />

been identified and rather than an isolated “junior”<br />

coach mentor program, the NCRG is to implement<br />

a coaching mentor program covering all areas of<br />

coaching. This mentor program will be launched in late<br />

2008.<br />

Annual “Trends of the Game” Resource<br />

The 2007 “Trends of the Game” was produced and<br />

distributed in October 2007 with many excellent<br />

comments on the concept and production. The 2008<br />

Trends of the Game resource was designed and<br />

produced and is currently being distributed.<br />

Reward Program for Coaches<br />

Incorporated in coaching awards, Coaching Hall of<br />

Fame and coaching association policies in varying draft<br />

stages.<br />

Succession Planning Models for Coaches<br />

Incorporated in roles and responsibilities of Coaching<br />

Policy<br />

• Eight editions of TFA electronic National Coaching<br />

Newsletter on various coaching topics<br />

• Conduct of five TFA L Coaching Courses in Europe<br />

during April-May 2008<br />

• Plan and deliver National Women’s Leadership<br />

• Out-of-session coordination and Chair of the TFA<br />

Rules Sub-Committee<br />

• Review of course presenter training and currency<br />

requirements<br />
