Superchips Inc., a Florida corporation, having its
principle place of business at 1790 East Airport
Blvd., Sanford, FL 32773 warrants this Superchips
Inc. product (“Product”) as follows:
Superchips Inc. warrants that the Product sold
hereunder will be free from defects in material and
workmanship for the lifetime of the Product. If the
Product does not conform to this Limited Warranty,
the original purchaser (Buyer) shall notify Superchips
Inc. in writing of the claimed defects and
demonstrate to Superchips Inc.’s satisfaction that
said defects are covered by the Limited Warranty.
If the defects are properly reported to Superchips
Inc., and the defects are of such type and nature as
to be covered by this Limited Warranty, Superchips
Inc. shall at its own expense furnish a replacement
Product or, at Superchips Inc.’s option, replacement
parts for the defective Product. Shipping and
installation of the replacement Product or parts shall
be at the Buyer’s expense. This Limited Warranty
applies only to the original purchaser and is not
transferable.
Return Policy
If for any reason during the first 30 days after
purchase you are dissatisfied with the quality of
this product you may return it for a full refund of
the purchase price (up to MSRP) less the shipping
costs. You will be asked to provide a Proof of
Purchase. Put the product back in its original
packaging and return the product to the place of
purchase. Your refund will be made as soon as
possible and in the same manner as your payment

The beginning of Superchips takes us across the pond
to England. In 1983, Superchips Inc. was founded as
one of the first companies to specialize in tuning
computer controlled EFI vehicles. In these early years,
the company focused on serving the British performance
community with high end tuning capabilities.
This eventually lead State-side where EFI was just
catching on in motorsports and the performance
industry.
Originally, Superchips
produced the
EPROM, commonly
called chips. These
Electronic Programmed
Read Only Memory
chips would replace the
EPROM in the factory’s
Electronic Control Module. These chips would modify
the fuel, spark and transmission settings while keeping
the emissions and safety systems intact. As OEMs
moved more controls into the ECM, and with the
introduction of OBD-II, the days of EPROMs faded away
as the ability to ‘flash’ the ECM to modify various
engine and transmission parameters came to fruition.
The bulk of Superchips products and business today
are plug-in tuners. The Max MicroTuner and the new
FLASHPAQ, are the easiest way to tune-in performance
to your late model
vehicle. These tuners
download and save the
factory calibration,
while keeping all of the
safety and emission
programs operational.
Though our improvements
in power and
torque, 12%-hp in gas vehicles,
with up to 150-hp gains in turbo
diesels, get most people’s attention,
it’s the overall driveability benefits
that our calibrators design into the
programs that impress them the
most. Less downshifting while
pulling steep hills, improved
midrange pull and quick throttle
response are all benefits that arise
from a Superchips tune. This can
also lead to gains in fuel efficiency and all round
performance benefits.
What’s even better than these performance
improvements is how simple Superchips makes it to
use! Anyone can install a Superchips, without even
having to lift the hood of your vehicle. The tuner simply
plugs in to the diagnostic port and leads you through
several simple steps. In many cases, the program can
be installed within 10 minutes!
Today Superchips provides the Max MicroTuner to
thousands of vehicle owners ranging from loaded down
tow rigs and farm rigs to drag and road racers. The

There is no easier way to improve your vehicle’s
performance than with a Superchips Tuner. You
don’t need any tools, not even a screwdriver! In
fact, you don’t even need to open the hood. It’s
almost a shame not to get your fingers dirty to
achieve the powerful benefits of a Superchips!
Why is it so easy? The Tuner plugs directly into
the diagnostic port that is under the dash on most
domestic cars and trucks. This connects the Tuner
directly to the vehicle’s ECU where it removes the
factory settings and information and installs
Superchips’ dyno proven calibration. The factory
setting is saved in the Tuner so you can easily
return the vehicle to stock.
If you have no mechanical abilities, no tools or
even computer knowledge, you can still upgrade
your vehicle’s performance with a Superchips
Tuner!
Both the Max MicroTuner and the FLASHPAQ plug
right into the diagnostic port of the vehicle. This is
the same port that dealerships use to access the
vehicle’s ECU and data.
Once connected, the Tuner will lead you through a
variety of questions about your application and the
different performance options available. It will also
download and save the factory calibration so it can be
reinstalled if ever desired.
When the new Superchips tune up is installed,
simply disconnect the diagnostic connector and fire up
your engine for a test drive. You’ll feel the

Q: What is the difference between Peak and
Max gains?
A: Peak HP gains are measured at the rpm level
where the OEM rated the stock engine’s highest
horsepower. Max HP gains are measured at the
rpm level with the greatest gain over stock.
Simply put, Max is the most or widest range
between stock and Superchips. Peak is the gain at
the vehicle’s highest rating.
Q: Is it easy to install?
A: Extremely easy. Installation generally takes less
than 10 minutes and requires no automotive
knowledge or mechanical ability whatsoever. Also,
the Superchips tune can easily be removed and the
stock program will be put back in place.
Q: Will it void my warranty?
A: No. It is illegal for a dealership to void your
warranty based solely on the fact that you have
installed an aftermarket product. For information
regarding denial of warranty coverage, go to the
SEMA website at www.sema.org.
Q: Will the Tuner damage my transmission?
A: No, and in most cases, the operation of the
transmission is improved.
Q: Will a Superchips Tuner improve the fuel
mileage?
A: Our programs are designed around increased
performance with improved driveability, and in
many cases, the fuel economy does improve.
Q: Can a Superchips override the factory speed
limiter?
A: In most cases this option is available. Please check
our products page for your vehicle’s specific list of
options.
Q: Do you need to run higher octane fuel?
A: While some Superchips products give you the
choice of running 87 or 91-93 octane fuel, most
vehicles will require the use of 91- 93 octane fuel
to achieve the most increase in horsepower and
torque.
Q: Are all of the rpm points programmed?
A: Yes, we tune at all throttle positions, from idle to
wide open throttle.
Q: Can I stack a Superchips program with
another programmer or tuner?
A: No, it is not recommended to mix or stack a
Superchips calibration with another performance
chip, module or programmer. Superchips will not
warrant or be liable for any damage caused by the
stacking of our Superchips product on top of
another performance enhancing chip or programmer.
Q: What type of warranty does Superchips
carry?
A: All of our products come with a 30-day money
back guarantee as well as a limited lifetime
warranty.

CustomPaq
Different camshaft and ported heads? Add a supercharger and the engine’s
just not pulling like you expected? If you haven’t tuned the vehicle to match
your engine modifications or just want to extract more power from your
previously tuned vehicle, Superchips Racing will take care of you! We will have
the ability to write custom files for practically any engine combination.
These custom files are written by our engineers and established Superchips
Racing dealers and can be purchased through our website. If you
don’t find your combination listed, locate a dealer with the tuning
software and they will be able to write one for you! When used in
conjunction with the user options, you can begin modifying from a
professionally tuned base file, fine tune it, and blow away the
competition!

IHRA Contingency
Superchips is excited to be a contingency sponsor for several classes throughout IHRA National Events.
Contingency awards are available to racers that have a tow vehicle that has been performance tuned
with a Superchips Tuner. Racers in for Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Super Stock, Stock, Quick Rod,
Super Rod, Hot Rod and ET simply have to supply a proof of purchase for the Tuner and run the official
Superchips logo on their race car. Racers in the Summit Team Finals classes also collected contingency
awards by running the Superchips decal. See the IHRA website for payout in these classes.
NMRA and Open Comp
Another group of racers that Superchips has been involved with include the National Mustang Racer
Association and the National Muscle Car Association. In the NMRA, we’ve sponsored the Bracket Showdown
where modified Mustangs and Fords are pitted against each other. With the NMCA we sponsored
the Open Comp classes which showcases a variety of late model muscle cars and classics.
