FDSB (laminated) Sisal Buff is sewn with cotton fabric and
sisal. This buff is used for cutting on all types of metal, but is
less aggressive than the plain sisal buff. The Plain Sisal Buff
is made of burlap material. This buff is very aggressive and is
used on all types of metals for coarse cutting. Both buffs are
spirally sewn at 3 /8”, ¼” and 1 /8”. These two types of buffs are
available from 6” to 16” diameters.
FDSB Treated Sisal Buffs are sisal buffs treated to make them
very aggressive. The treated buff is indicated by color. The
green buff being more aggressive than the yellow. Both for fast
cutting down operation and even non-streak finishes. The red
buff is the most aggressive of the three colors. Buffs are
available in 6" and 16" diameters.
FDMB Muslin Buffs are full disc cotton buffs used for coloring
and finishing all types of metals. These buffs can be sewn
spirally from 1 /8" to ¾" and concentrically 1 /2", 3 /4", or 1 ". The
closer the stitch, the harder the buff. Loose muslin being the
softest with only one row of sewing around the arbor hole.
These buffs are available in 20 ply ( 1 /4" wide), 40 ply ( 1 /2" wide),
and 60 ply ( 7 /8" wide). Muslin Buffs are available from 6" to 16"
diameters. We also carry Yellow Treated Muslin buffs for
slightly aggressive coloring.
Flannel Buffs come double nap, flannel on both sides, or single
nap with flannel on one. Flannel is used when you desire a very
fine finish on soft metals.
Airway Buffs, sometimes called air-cooled or “ventilated” buffs,
have pleated cloth – usually 86/82 count – held by a metal
clinch ring in the center. Diameters run from 8” to 16” (even
measurement only) with centers of 3”, 5”, or 7” with adapters
for various arbor hole sizes. The amount of cloth in each section
is designated by #2 or #4, the least amount of cloth being #2.
More cloth makes the wheel tighter, more aggressive, and
durable. Pacific Coast stocks the #4. The buff is available with
many treatments – yellow, white, red, and blue.

ODCBS Open Face Sisal Buffs are constructed like the air
cooled buffs, except they are made of a laminated sisal and
cloth combination, and are available treated. Open face buffs
are available in 16" and 14” diameters, black and yellow.
Centerless Buffs are miniature airway buffs available in 6" and
8" diameters only. They come standard with a 1 3/4" arbor hole,
with adapters available from 1 /2" up to 1- 1 /4" arbor hole. They
are available in white and yellow muslin material and are ideal
for all smaller "coloring" operations.
Razor Edge Buffs are ideal to get into areas where no other
buffs can reach. Tapered from the center to finish on a razor
edge end, the buffs are available in 2½" through 8" diameters,
in unbleached cotton muslin or in the harder yellow treated
material.
Goblet Buffs are made for buffing the inside of bowls, cups,
mugs, lamps, etc., or any inside surface needing both the sides
and bottom finished. Goblet buffs can come in various forms
(round, tapered, square, or cylinder). Used with tapered
spindles.
Midget Buffs are very small muslin buffs used for finishing in
very small areas. Diameters in stock are from 7 /8" to 2". These
buffs are also available in other types of materials, such as
denim or sisal.
Wire Wheels These brushes are excellent tools, for medium to
heavy cleaning, rust removal, deburring, edge blending and
refining metal finishes. May be used individually or gang
mounted on a shaft. These wheels also come in a twisted knot
which makes them more aggressive.
Cartridge Rolls are a single piece, tightly wound construction,
made of "X" weight Resin Bond Aluminum Oxide cloth. Cartridge
Rolls provide an effective method of grinding, deburring,
blending, polishing and finishing of metal channels, contours,
recesses, side walls, and other hard to reach areas.
The PSA Disc is a sharp, durable aluminum oxide grain on a
heavy weight paper backing with a full phenolic resin bond
system. An open coat product which delivers a fast cut with an
exceptionally long life. Aluminum Oxide Resin Fiber Disc
provides an economical way for weld grinding, deburring,
blending, and most finish grinding applications.
Zirconia Fiber Disc provides a superior grinding performance in a
premium aluminum oxide resin fiber disc. A premium abrasive
grain delivers superior cutting rates and a longer useful life.
Abrasive belts are replacing polishing wheels because belts are
durable, fast cutting, very uniform on the surface and easily and
quickly changed. They are available in grits from 36 X or J to
400 X or J. The X belts are stiffer than J's because they have a
resin backing while the J's have a glue backing, the X being
more aggressive. Stock sizes of our belts are 2", 3", and 4" by
168". All other sizes available upon request.
Polishing Wheels or "set-up" wheels are glued, hard buffs,
primarily used on bumpers and steel wheels. These wheels can
be "set-up" with glue and emery. All sizes, stitching, and arbor
holes are custom made to order.

Pacific Coast Chemicals
Speeds Production – Versatile adjustment
affords ideal belt tension control for all kinds of
work. Positive control of belt tension and
tracking from operator’s position avoids endless
movement back and forth from contact wheel
to idler.
Saves Belts – Tracking adjustment moves
idler pulley from side to side instead of turning
the pulley face, avoiding twisting and stretching
which can break the bond.
Tracks Narrow Belts – Holds belts of any
width from ¼” to 5” right where you want it.
Pulley for 6” belts (optional).
Quick Belt Change – Tension release lever
frees or tightens belt in a single motion.
Constant Operation; Minimal Maintenance
Requirements – For over 30 years, Belt
Masters have proven their reliability and
performance in actual service on some of the
heaviest duty constant production lines.
