The San Francisco 49ers host the Green Bay Packers in the <strong>Divisional</strong> Round<br />

of the <strong>2012</strong> NFL Playoffs. The two teams faced each other in Week 1, with San<br />

Francisco winning 30-22 at Green Bay. The marks the sixth postseason matchup<br />

between the Packers and 49ers, with Green Bay holding a 4-1 edge in the alltime<br />

series.<br />

The 49ers earned the NFC West Division Championship for the second conseuctive<br />

season and the 19th time in franchise history. Head coach Jim Harbaugh<br />

joined George Seifert as the only coaches in franchise history to win the<br />

NFC West in each of their first two seasons.<br />

San Francisco had an NFL-high nine players selected to the Pro Bowl, including<br />

seven starters (LB navorro Bowman, S Dashon goldson*, RB Frank gore, G<br />

Mike iupati*, LB aldon Smith*, DT Justin Smith*, T Joe Staley*, S Donte Whitner*<br />

and LB patrick Willis*).<br />

yds.) became the first set of 49ers to surpass 1,000 rushing yds. and<br />

19.5 LB aldon Smith set the franchise single-season sack record with 19.5<br />

sacks this season.<br />

8.32 QB Colin kaepernick ranked 1st in the NFL, averaging 8.32 yds./attempt<br />
