AXEL SPRINGER AG PRINTING PLANT AHRENSBURG
CHOOSES EAE LOOP. SYSTEM
The Axel Springer AG has placed an
order with EAE for the installation of
the colour control system loop. On three
webs, on one of their manroland COLOR-
MAN printing presses, based at the printing
site Ahrensburg near Hamburg.
After an extensive comparison of all colour
controls systems that are currently
offered on the market, the printing house
decided to choose the loop. system from
EAE in Ahrensburg.
The EAE solution differs from other suppliers
by the manner of the measurement
method. In the system developed by EAE,
the entire web width is completely measured,
without control patches. Thus it
is possible to ensure the colour balance
across the full page and the whole cir-
culation. The loop. system automatically
measures and controls. At the same time
a “Web inspection” is implemented which
means that failures in the printing process
are also immediately detected.
The plant manager of the Axel Springer
printing plant in Ahrensburg, Mr. Thomas
Drensek, assesses the decision for such
a colour control system as a future-oriented
investment for his printing house. “An
innovative development of EAE with excellent
prospects for future use”, said Mr.
Drensek when signing the contract.
