Seams – using 10kg 

breaking strain threads 

The strongest possible seams are 

used on the common stress areas of 

the outside leg and crutch seams. 

The ‘Fell seam’, commonly found in 

jeans, consists of four layers of 

material stitched together with robust 

double needle stitching and is 

incredibly stronger than the standard 

overlocked or even the folded 

overlocked seams found in most 

workwear. It’s guaranteed! 

Bar Tacks – high frequency 

reinforcement 

Reinforcing ‘bar tacks are used at all 

major stress points, such as the 

pockets and belt loops. All stitching 

is done with 10kg breaking strain 

‘core-spun’ polyester threads – many 

times stronger than used in most 

workwear.

of purchase that extends to defects occurring as a result of faulty manufacture or materials. This guarantee 

specifically excludes garments which have been subject to abuse, deliberate damage, failure to follow specified care 

and washing instructions or fair wear and tear. Any modifications made to the garment will invalidate this guarantee. 

This guarantee is limited to the repair or replacement of the garment and excludes consequential loss or damages. 

In the unlikely event of you wanting to claim under this guarantee you will need to launder the garment and return

Fasteners – only the best are good enough 

Metal jeans buttons are used giving superior 

durability and comfort than the standard hook 

and clasp found in most workwear. The button 

turns on its axle preventing stress fractures and 

broken buttons. 

Colourfast – to maximise consistent image 

The fabrics we use offer superb colour-fastness. 

Many Jobman Workwear fabrics are twice dyed; 

first we use a wet dying process and then a 

second, reactive dye is used to ensure 

unsurpassed colourfastness. 

Abrasion resistance – to exceed expectation 

Martindale tests are conducted on all fabrics 

used to provide abrasion resistance. This test 

consists of a constant load (12kPa) being 

exerted in a random orbit on to the test fabric 

until two threads break. We use this test to prove 

that the super-abrasion-resistant fabrics we use 

to reinforce areas of our garments are as good 

as they can possibly be. 

Kneepad pockets designed to last 

Our kneepad pockets last and last. Many of 

Jobman Workwear trades trousers feature not 

only super-abrasion resistant fabrics but also our 

special, friction-reducing, dual-layer technology 

which significantly increases the life of our 

trousers, even in the toughest environments.

Choose the 

right size... 

You’ve decided to buy a Jobman garment 

- to get the best comfort and performance 

out of your new workwear, it is really 

important that you choose the right size. 

You are probably going to be in your 

workwear for ten or more hours a day, so 

make sure it fits. 

Trousers that are too long or short may not 

position the kneepad correctly when you 

kneel down, meaning you’ve got to adjust 

the pad position constantly. 

Incorrectly sized garments are also put 

under excess strain and can rip as a result. 

Jobman Workwear is stocked across the 

size range and is widely available, so 

there really isn’t any need to put up with 

ill-fitting, uncomfortable clothes. 

Sizes are given in inches and are converted 

and rounded to the nearest whole number.

Front swing pockets are ideal for safely carrying tools and 

fixings, from nails and screws to wrenches and pliers. 

Pockets swing comfortably away from the body when 

kneeling and are double lined and reinforced with super 

hardwearing material for even greater robustness. Additional 

five tool compartment pockets on outside. 

How did we ever manage without the mobile phone? This 

dedicated hip pocket has a Velcro ® fastened flap to keep 

your phone secure. The whole assembly hinges at the top, 

kept in place with a Velcro ® strip so the phone pocket can 

pull free for more comfort when sitting. 

This extra-wide leg pocket is sealed with a stud fastened 

flap concealing a second mobile phone pocket inside, a 

feature now found on most Trades Line trousers. The deep 

bottom gusset provides extra capacity. Four outside 

pockets for tools or pens, all reinforced. 

This pocket assembly, provides safe storage for rulers, with 

the bottom of the pocket double reinforced, a knife button, 

retention strap and loop. A further pencil pocket is provided 

with button holes to accept pencils as they become shorter! 

Protect your knees from sharp objects, the strain of 

constant kneeling and the discomfort of kneeling on cold or 

wet surfaces. Pads are loaded from the base of the pocket 

to prevent collection of dirt and are held securely in place by 

a flap that prevents the kneepad from riding up. Pockets are 

made from highly wear resistant fabrics.

Jobman Workwear is developed with the help of its wearers. 

A feature which now appears on the Granyte line garments 

is the provision of double belt loops. These loops will 

accept different width belts to ensure a more comfortable fit 

by securing the belt to reduce movement. 

Extra-wide back pockets are reinforced, double-lined and 

gussetted to provide further accessibility and functionality. 

Like all Jobman Workwear features, these pockets are built 

to last with double stitching and special reinforcing bar tack 

stitching to ensure that the pockets will last just as long as 

the rest of the garments. 

D Ring attachments are provided for convenient fixing of ID 

badges, keys, or other such essentials. A small detail, 

maybe, but just another feature that has been added after 

consultation with the wearers of our garments. After all, 

there is no better way to develop the best trades clothing 

than to listen to those who wear it. 

Adjustable hammer loop with press-stud adjustment, 

stitched in with reinforcing bar-tacks, a high frequency stitch 

which gives incredible strength. Keep your tools within easy 

reach, enabling you to replace your tool belt with a really 

comfortable, ergonomic alternative. 

Three sections are provided to securely hold screwdriver 

bits for convenient access when you need them. 

Commonly used bits can be stored without having to search 

through tool boxes, just pick the one you need! Another 

wearer feature.

Knife button holder accepts a knife holster and the retaining 

loop keeps the knife handle at a comfortable angle for 

access and ensures that the knife is kept safely angled 

away from the body. The retaining strap keeps the knife 

securely in place. 

The left chest pocket comprises a broad open pocket with 

three outside compartments for tools, pens and pencils, 

including openings for shorter pencils! The whole pocket is 

secured by press-studs at the bottom, so that it can swing 

clear of the body when kneeling. A glove pocket is provided 

underneath the main assembly. 

The right chest pocket has a stud fastened flap. A D ring is 

provided underneath the flap for security ID passes, keys 

and other essentials. The whole pocket swings free when 

detached from press-studs at the bottom. Seams are 

double stitched with reinforcing at all stress points. A glove 

pocket is provided underneath the main assembly. 

A set of four swing pockets are ideal for safely carrying 

tools and fixings, from nails and screws to wrenches and

into the back of these superb garments. The rear of the 

jacket yoke has press-stud fastenings which can be 

released to allow free flow of cooling air through the internal 

mesh lining to keep you cool in warmer environments.
