The MAC10 constant pressure regulators and the MAC11,
which can be set to a high or low pressure setting, are wellsuited
to the comfort ventilation of residences and other
indoor environments, such as offi ces, restaurants, etc. The
high and low pressure setting can be made manually, with
help from an external timer, other third-party control system
or via an outside air temperature sensor.

Constant pressure regulator - MAC10
The MAC10 controls fan unit operation and maintains the
required pressure.
The MAC10 offers two pre-set pressures (high/low), so that
ventilation can be adjusted to meet operational requirements.
The high and low pressure settings are set individually in the
constant pressure regulator using a simple menu.
The MAC10 has a built-in alarm function that automatically
displays a message when the required pressure cannot be
met.
The unit also includes an isolator switch for use with an
external alarm.
The MAC10 lets the user set the pressure deviation required to
trigger the alarm, as well as how long this deviation can
continue before the alarm is activated.
Type MAC10
Supply voltage 230 VAC
Recommended operating range 50-500 Pa
Ambient temperature -20ºC to +50ºC
Settings’ range - alarm pressure 0-500 Pa
The constant pressure regulator will continue to operate after
the alarm has been triggered and continue to attempt to
maintain the required pressure.
The MAC10 can be connected to a thermal circuit breaker
located in the fan motor. Any cut-out of this unit will also
trigger an alarm.
The MAC10 also has an external start/stop system option and
an override setting to max. airfl ow.
The MAC10 can be located wherever it is most appropriate
– in a control room or next to the fan unit with a signal to the
control room.
The MAC10 is supplied with an XTP sensor as standard.

Pressure transducer - MACXTP
The pressure transducer is supplied with plug outlet,
measuring probe and hose.
The pressure transducer measures the current pressure in the
duct system, and the MAC10 regulates the fan unit's output
in line with the pre-set pressure. The pressure measured in the
duct system can be read on the MAC10's display.
A different pressure transducer to the one provided can be
used, as the value can be changed in the MAC10.
The pressure transducer has two pressure connections. The
fi rst links to the duct system, where the pressure is to be kept
at a constant level. The second is used as a reference and can
be led to a neutral reference area.
The pressure transducer should be placed appropriately in
relation to the measuring probe and should be easily
accessible.
The MAC10 MPR has MAX/MIN trimmers (potentiometers) for
setting up the limits for the output voltage.

The outside air temperature sensor - MAC10XTT
The MAX10 constant pressure regulator can be connected to
an outside temperature sensor (available as an accessory),
making it possible to operate with outside temperature
compensation. This means that the high setting for pressure
can be lowered if the outside temperature falls. This compensation
continues lineally between the two pre-set temperatures
and pressure (high/low). When the compensation function
is active, it can be read in the MAC10's display.
Constant pressure regulator - MAC11 with LON communication
MAC11 controls the Start/Stop of the ventilation fan and
constantly modulates the fan speed to maintain the pre-set
pressure in the entire ductwork system.
MAC11 offers the possibility of setting two different pressure
levels. The high and low pressure level is adjusted via the
simple menu on the control unit.
MAC11 has a built-in alarm, which is activated and displayed
when the pre-set pressure cannot be obtained. It is possible
to adjust how large a deviation from the pre-set pressure will
The time of deviation before the alarm is activated can be set
between 30-600 seconds.
The controller will continue to run the ventilation unit during
the alarm period.
The MAC11 is supplied with an XTP sensor as standard.

Pressure transducer (XTP-sensor)
The XTP pressure transducer is supplied with plug, measuring
probe and hoses. The pressure transducer measures the
current pressure in the duct system, and the MAC11 regulates
the ventilator’s output in line with the pre-set pressure. The
pressure measured in the duct system can be read on the
MAC11 display.
Because the pressure sensitivity can be set in the MAC11, a
pressure transducer with a different sensitivity than the one
supplied, can be connected.
The pressure transducer has two pressure connections. One
connection links to the duct system, where the required pressure
is to be kept at a constant level. The second is used as a
pressure reference and can be led to a neutral reference area.
The pressure transducer is positioned appropriately in relation to
the measuring probe. It should be easily accessible.
Type XTP-sensor
The pressure transducer must be positioned vertically as shown
in the diagram. Delivered with 2 m hose.
NB: As the values can be set in the MAC11, a pressure
transducer with a maximum sensitivity in the range of 50-500
Pa can be connected.

Outdoor temperature sensor (XTT-sensor)
To be able to compensate for changes in the outdoor
temperature the MAC11 can be connected to an external
temperature sensor. (Accessory).
The high pressure setting will fall in line with falling outdoor
temperatures. The compensation will be linear between two
pre-set temperatures and pressures (high/low)
Bus communication (LonWorks ® )
LONWORKS ® is a standardised communication system which is
used by most of the major suppliers of automation systems.
The communication between two units using LON communication
is through a four core cable. Two cores supply the power
to the connected units, and two cores are used for
communication.
The LON bus can connect one or more MAC11 units. The
ventilation units can thus alter their output relative to outdoor
temperature.
65
113
50
10
The outdoor temperature sensor is connected to the MAC11
via a LON network. Several MAC11 control units can be
connected to the same outdoor temperature sensor. The
sensor is placed where the actual outdoor temperature can be
measured without influence from wind and sunshine.
Type XTP-sensor
Supply voltage (from MAC) 24 VAC
Operating temperature -45ºC to +70ºC
Output signal accuracy ±1% of measured value
Resolution 0.1ºC
Size (H x B x D) 50 x 113 x 37 mm
Ingress Protection IP54
By using the LON system for communication, the distance
between the temperature sensor and the MAC11 units will
have no influence on the accuracy of the measuring signal.
With LONWORKS ® the system can be further developed over
time.

EFC1P – Cable plans
The supply cable must be dimensioned in accordance with
applicable regulations and legislation. The conditions at the
installation location, including temperature and the path of
the cable must be taken into consideration.
The FC motor has over current and overheating protection.
The motor needs no additional protection. The fault indication
output of the motor cannot be used for external fault
reporting, as it is used with the EFC1P.
When installing multiple single-phase ventilators with FC
motors in the same network with a shared neutral conductor,
special requirements apply to the dimensioning of this
conductor, as the current is not a pure sine wave.
For example, if three single-phase ventilators with FC motors
are installed and divided between three phases, the current in
the neutral conductor is equal to that of the three ventilators
combined.
If you are fi tting fan units to an existing installation, make sure
that the neutral conductor can cope with the resultant load.
15
The EFC1P speed regulator control panel
controls the frequency converter in the
FC motor. The linear 0-10 scale sets the
ventilator’s speed of revolution.
The control panel contains a potentiometer
with a circuit breaker built into the switch.
Functions:
1. Start/stop and speed setting of the ventilator (potentiometer
with built-in on/off switch)
2. Operating LED (green) for the fan motor.
3. Alarm LED (red) to indicate motor overheating or over current.
Earth leak circuit breakers:
Only Type-A earth-leakage circuit breakers, in accordance
with IEC 755, Amendment 2, can be used with single-phase
ventilators with FC motors. These circuit breakers also break
the circuit when DC current (pulsating DC) is detected.
These circuit breakers are marked with:
Only Type-B earth-leakage circuit breakers
can be used with three-phase ventilators
with FC motors.
