General Manager’s Msg. 1
Golf Pro Message 2
President of the Board ~ Jan Anthony-Starr
Now that the holidays have passed
and things have settled down a bit,
we can "dream" about Spring and
our upcoming golf season. Again, I
would like to welcome our new
Head Pro, Tim Burkhart. I would
also like to welcome Tom Wiers
onto the Board of Directors. He
will be finishing the last 2 years for
Marla Murasko who had to resign.
The Board would like to thank
Marla for service on the Board this
past year. She was very instrumental
in providing the kids activities
and involved with membership.
Thank you Marla.
Well, here it is February and we
have endured one-third of the winter.
Even though it has been cold
and nasty outside, it has been warm
and “social” in the clubhouse.
There have been a couple of good
parties and certainly our fair share
of sporting events. There is more to
come with our Super Bowl Sunday,
Valentine’s Day, and a special evening
of entertainment as we partner
with Encore Performing Arts. Soon
it will be Spring, the golf course
will be green, and we will be preparing
the pool for the summer season.
The trick is to survive the remaining
60 days of winter.
We have been busy --- Ryan taking
care of his equipment, Tim retooling
the Pro Shop, and the
kitchen and wait staff working on
As you are aware, we have struggled
financially the last few years.
So it is IMPERATIVE that usage
of the clubhouse increases drastically
this year. We all need to actively
recruit new members. We
are offering some "new pro" specials
for this upcoming season, so
PLEASE help us recruit some new
members You can call Misti for
information of the specials or email
her at the club.
We had election of new officers.
They are as follows:

cleaning the clubhouse. There is
always something to do at PCC,
whether it’s social or work.
Last month I addressed the subject
of membership. Again I want to ask
ALL members to work on recruiting
NEW members. It doesn’t make
any difference what category (full
members are best); we need to increase
our numbers, which in turn
will increase our revenue. I know
the economy is still “soft.” We
need people who want a great dining
experience, like golf, like socializing,
and like relaxing on the
shores of Pretty Lake. When you
come to the club, bring some guests,
show off the place, and tell them
this is it in Marshall County. There
is nothing else to compare us to locally.

It's an honor to be chosen as president
again. However, that does
mean that you have to read another
ten messages from me in this newsletter!
Be safe, and we will talk
next month. My phone number is
286-4366 and email is
if you have any concerns, complaints,
meetings and luncheons. Have your
next organizational party at the club.
Weddings, rehearsal dinners, bachelor
parties --- we love ‘em all.
As I prepare for a menu change in
the Spring, let me know YOUR
ideas. I will try to incorporate them
on a lunch or dinner menu. If I
can’t, I’ll tell you why. Remember,
we need items that will sell and
leave us with very little food waste.
You want something special for a
personal dinner? Talk to me with
enough lead time and we can make
it happen. I love preparing gourmet
meals. Please get with me concerning
your menu ideas by the end of
See you at the Club!

I cannot believe that winter is halfway
over! The staff and I are grinding the
last of the reels and beginning to put all
of our machinery together for the upcoming
season. We are excited for the
upcoming golf season, and I hope that
you are getting ready for golf at PCC
I am looking forward to our 3 rd annual
