Our Center of Excellence for SAP
We anchor our SAP expertise at our Center of Excellence for
SAP HANA, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The CoE hosts its own
private cloud on which we run the complete SAP business suite,
all the enterprise solutions from SAP, and a range of industry
solutions. The CoE for SAP develops prototypes and proofof-concept
applications for a range of SAP offerings like SAP
HANA for in-memory computing, SAP Mobility on the Sybase
Unwired Platform, and SAP Business Objects for Analytics. The
knowledge and expertise we gain here is transferred to all our
SAP project teams worldwide.

Our SAP Successes
AGL Energy, one of Australia’s largest power retailers, is replacing its
electromechanical meters with interactive smart meters, resulting in a
nearly 4,320-fold increase in daily data processing for their billing and
operations systems. To brace for this “data tsunami,” the company turned
to TCS to plan, design and build an analytics solution for wholesale
forecasting powerful enough to handle the massive data flow.
Together, AGL Energy and TCS selected SAP HANA—together with new
analytical capabilities—to develop the solution in 14 “sprints” using Agile
software development methodology. Some of the results AGL realizes are:
