The design goals

for the studio apartment

located in Sarasota, Florida is to keep

the space warm and welcoming. The idea

behind my design is that this would be my

dream apartment after graduating from college and

starting my professional career as a designer.

The concept is Sophisticated Elegance. I prefer

contemporary and traditional design and will use these

infl uences to create a relaxing environment to come

home to after a long day of work. The use of curves

will be throughout the space to create harmony. A

complementary color pallet will be used to provide

balance. Ambient lighting will make the apartment

inviting for friends and family to come and

visit. Keeping the public areas barrier free

will allow social gathers for special

occasions.
