President’s Corner

Is your business where you thought it would be profit-wise, customer-wise and dream-wise? I read an article recently about a

would-be golfer. He looked the part, had the right clubs and knew the “talk” but once he began to play, in his words, he “stinks”. He accredited

it to missing the three “P”s – Practice, Passion and Play. Can we apply this concept to our businesses? You bet!

Do you “practice” good customer service in your place of business? Ask yourself, “would I want to be a customer of my business,

judging from how I serve, right now”? Are you personable, timely, and deliver what you say you will in the quality that is expected?

Are you still passionate about what you do? If not, maybe it’s time to “revitalize” and take a continuing education course, go to a

conference or seminar or simply plan time with a trusted mentor in the business who can look at what you’ve done and give you sound advice

on how and where to prune and grow.

Most important after seeing to these crucial areas, is play – that is, take the time to enjoy the fruits of your hard work. Too many

times, we achieve the goals we have set and, and, in the process of setting new ones, forget to celebrate what we have achieved so far. Take

the time to appreciate the milestones you have set with those who have supported it – family, friends, and employees.

Have a great month, happy 4th of July and see you at The Taste Around the World!

Ambassador “Cash Mob”

javaNook Coffee House was “Cash Mobbed” by

Members of the Ambassador Committee. This unique idea,

spearheaded by our wonderful Ambassadors Committee, has the

sole purpose of supporting our area businesses by stopping by

unannounced and spending money and time getting to know the

services and goods available through the Membership. Be on the

lookout - will yours be “Cash Mobbed” next?
