Application number ()
It is an serial number starting each year with one. It identifies the application only
together with the year of application.
Common name of species ()
Given in Hungarian and covers a cultivated crop rather than a botanical species.
Date + Denomination proposed ()
Procedure for the naming of the varieties is not separated from the general procedure
for the national listing (State Qualification) so the date (usually) is the same as the
date of application.
Date + Denomination approved ()
The date is usually the same as the date of granting.
Breeder’s reference ()
In our recordings it is not clearly determined whether the denomination appearing first
is a proposed name or a breeder’s reference. The two may be the same or may be
different.
Start date of registration ()
Usually the same as the date of the approval of the denomination ().
Calculated future expiration date ()
15 years for herbaceous crops, 18 years for woody species (from the date of
registration in the National List).
Type of End and End Date ()
Date of withdrawal (WDR). No distinction is made between the various other forms of
termination/expiration.
Applicant’s name ()
Usually a legal person but may be a natural person too.
Breeder ()
