CoUNTRy AND PEoPlE liechtenstein Our country is 160-square-kilometers (62-square-mile) and not a meter larger, and it still off ers enough space for about 35,000 people, for living together, for tradition and modernity. Historically, Liechtenstein is divided into the Upper Country (Oberland) and the Lower Country (Unterland), but people are warmhearted and welcoming everywhere. They live in 11 municipalities – each one is diff erent, each one is special. You'll only notice the diff erences at second glance. Vaduz is the capital, residence of the Princely Family and seat of Government. Music and joyous laughter fi ll the streets of Vaduz.
