Welcome to Lewin 2005!!!!!
We, as the student editors of this wonderful anthology, hope that you
enjoy this compilation of students’ voices expressed through poetry and
stories.
This publication, for people who are unfamiliar with this popular iEARN
Project, is a global collection of students’ writing. It combines the talents
of so many intelligent and gifted school pupils, many of whom do not
have English as their first language.
Our job as student editors was to read each and every student’s piece of
work and then choose the responses that reflected a wide range of topics
and ideas from around the world. We wanted to include all of the
responses, but there simply wasn’t enough space!!!!!
The five of us have had heaps and heaps of fun with our editing and we
do hope you enjoy the voices of today’s international youth!!!!
It was so amazing seeing all the differences in cultures and thoughts
around the world yet the similarities too. While editing Lewin it was
good to see that people from all four corners of the world have the same
interests, hobbies, thoughts and even watch the same TV programs as
us! Lewin really is an excellent example of just what a wonderfully
diverse, caring and beautiful global community there is. We’d like to
thank everyone who contributed for making us laugh, cry and think. We
hope that you enjoy reading the work of these talented youth from
around the world as much as we did.
