EZ: Electro-zinc is a process that deposits a thin layer of zinc over the steel through<br />
an electro-chemical process, with an additional passivation that gives a typical shiny<br />
grey colour. The benefits of this process are control over zinc thickness and<br />
smoother surfaces.<br />
BC: Bi-chromate is a process that deposits a thin layer of zinc over the steel through<br />
an electro-chemical process, with an additional passivation that gives a typical<br />
yellow colour. The benefits of this process are control over zinc thickness and<br />
smoother surfaces.<br />
HDG: This is the process of coating steel with a zinc layer, by passing the steel<br />
through a molten bath of zinc at a temperature of more than 400 °C. The result is a<br />
surface treatment that protects the steel from environmental elements.<br />
SS: Stainless steel AISI 304 offers a high resistance to aggressive atmospheres.<br />
The pickling and passivation processes taking place after manufacturing improve<br />
the degree of protection of the steel.<br />
PG: Pre-galvanized steel is carbon steel that has gone through a zinc bath just after<br />
rolling. Good protection against oxidation and rust.<br />
AZ: The composition of the Alu-zinc alloy coating is aluminium and zinc.<br />
The coating is applied by means of a continuous hot dip galvanising process.<br />
LZ: Lamellar zinc is a zinc and aluminium coating with a degree of resistance to<br />
severe atmosphere comparable to that of hot dip galvanised steel. It is used for<br />
small items to achieve a smooth surface.<br />
PZ: Phosphate zinc coating is applied when increased corrosion resistance is<br />
required.<br />

Wibe Ladder is supplied by Schneider Electric and complements the other <strong>cable</strong> support<br />
systems that we offer.<br />
All galvanised ladders are supplied in 6m lengths and pre-galvanised ladders in 4m or<br />
6m lengths.<br />
Wibe is one of Europe’s largest <strong>cable</strong> ladder brands and offers the fastest installation<br />
system available.<br />
Wibe Cable Ladders are based around a rapid fit system. The unique coupling method<br />
avoids the need for flat fishplates which require up to 32 nuts, bolts and washer sets per<br />
coupling. Instead of the usual 10-15 minutes time taken per ladder, the Wibe coupler<br />
comes with 2 captive bolts and a complete connection can be made in around 30<br />
seconds.<br />
Additionally, the WIBE pre-galvanised ladder offers impressive materials cost savings<br />
for any internal applications and is ideal for use in commercial buildings, hospitals,<br />
distribution centres, shopping and retail applications.<br />

Use 2 Coupling 22 for vertical branching under<br />

Note! The screw of Coupling 22 must be turned<br />
so that its head will be placed against the side<br />
profile of the <strong>cable</strong> ladder. Bend the coupling<br />
with a screwdriver according to the above.<br />
As an alternative at transition joining of KHZSP,<br />
KHZPS, KHZ and KHZP use 1 Joint 21 and<br />
2 Couplings 22.<br />

Joint 21 is used for straight, robust joining of <strong>cable</strong> ladders and when<br />
fitting 90° bends, T- and X-branches, vertical bends and for vertical<br />
ladder mounting. It also reduces the transition resistance and prevents<br />
the ladders from slipping apart.<br />
Joint 9<br />
For straight joining of KHZ, KHZP and KHZPS.<br />
Use and Installation<br />
Joint 9 is used in straight joints of KHZ, KHZP and KHZPS.<br />
NOTE! The teeth shall face downwards as shown in the figure.<br />
Under load, the ladders are prevented from slipping apart. If the joint is<br />
above a bracket, the teeth should face upwards.
