Alderman Mallard <strong>of</strong>fered the following order,<br />

Ordered:<br />

The <strong>City</strong> Treasurer, the <strong>of</strong>ficial authorized to<br />

collect taxes, is hereby empowered to appoint such deputies as he deems ex-<br />

pedient, which deputies shall severally give bonds in the sum <strong>of</strong> three<br />

thousand dollars for the faithful performance <strong>of</strong> their duties*<br />

Alderman corbett <strong>of</strong>fered the following order,<br />

Ordered;<br />

That the <strong>City</strong> Treasurer be,_and he is hereby<br />

authorized, with the approval <strong>of</strong> the Mayor and <strong>City</strong> Auditor, to incur debt<br />

from time"to time during the current municipal year, on temporary loans in<br />

anticipation <strong>of</strong> the revenue <strong>of</strong> said financial year, and.to issue therefor the<br />

notes <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong>, payable within one year from their respective dates. The<br />

.amount <strong>of</strong> such notes shall not exceed three million, two hundred thousand<br />

(_&3_»200fQOO»00) dollars. Any such notes or portion there<strong>of</strong> may be refunded<br />

by the issue <strong>of</strong> new notes due within one year from the date <strong>of</strong> the original<br />

obligation. Said notes shall not be obligatory unless certified thereon as<br />

to genuineness by a Trust Company or National Bank doing business in the<br />

Commonwealth, as per section 3» chapter ^ <strong>of</strong> the Revised Ordinances <strong>of</strong> the<br />

<strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> Sioraervllle.<br />

vote. Roll call vote then taken to suspend rules to :allow second reading<br />

(11 Aldermen voted yes) Order received second reading. Roll call vote then<br />

taken on final adoption <strong>of</strong> order (11 Aldermen voted in affirmative. )<br />
