That´s us 

Our enterprise 

1981 The foundation of our company as a retail firm by Horst and Gunthild Främcke. 

The company started as a pure commercial agency with the main point in markings for electrical 

engineering and fixing devices. 

1984 The first own product- high quality cablemarkers-is developed and successfully introduced on the 

market. Under the brandname -Kennflex ® - GFI develops a wide programm all around industrial 

marking. 

1986 Introduction of an own high temperature and chemical resistant material for engravement under 

the brandname- Thermograv ® - wich corresponded to the DIN 2403 regulations for coloured markings. 

Establishing of the project department with the main points of engineering and assembly. 

1992 The enterprice becomes a private limited company (plc). 

1995 With the purchase of 1.500 m 2 buildings for administration, producing and stock, we gained the 

possibility to establish an extra department for engravements and system-inscriptions. 

1996 The production starts in the deparment for engravement, as well as in the department for systeminscriptions. 

1997 The start of the production of labels with the thermal-transfer printing technique. 

Since 1984 we where able to get several patents for our products.

Enviroment Protection 

Beside efficiency and quality, the enviroment protection and 

safty are the major aims of our enterprise. 

Regularly we check our company´s activities due to the principle 

of continual improvement in the enviroment protection. 

We encourage our employees at all levels to get great responsibility 

in all aspects of enviroment protection. 

Every new activity, every new product and every new method is 

first of all checked to its consequenses on the enviroment. 

The consequences of our actual activities on the lokal enviroment 

are tested and observed. We also prove all major effects of 

our activities on the enviroment in general. 

Every necessary measures are done to avoid any harm to the 

enviroment. 

After 20 years in the development of new products in the sector 

of markings in industrial installations we are very aware of the 

fact, that our customers expect excellent products. 

GFI-Kennflex has many rights of property on e.g. injection 

moulds or cavity blocks. The production itself is often done for 

Kennflex via delivery agreements. Most of the producing factories 

are already certificated. 

Since many years we focus on a production control with all our 

suppliers. The articles are measured and filed in technical data 

sheets with e.g alloys and surface-eloxal-layerthickness. 

In our incoming inspections we test the material´s exact measures 

and conditions and register these data in our computer 

system. 

Since 15 years we do assemblies by ourselves. As a result from 

this, we have a continous exchange of experiences between our 

mechanics and our engineers. That garantees us a continous 

improvement of our product.

Since over 20 years Kennflex-label carriers are known to be in the front line 

of business. They can easily be used to rivet engraved and printed labels 

as well as suppressed labels on any object. 

The media marking is supported by coloured stripes or small media plates.

For multiple-sign-marking the clip already carries a printsection (e.g. a text). 

The clip is available with a preselected printing text and can be supplemented with single character flags. 

Text: Single character model: A-Z, 0-9, Ä, Ö, special characters and symbols. 

For multiple character marking: alphanumerical characters, minor and capital letters, special characters, 

symbols with customer-designs text, one or two lines. 

Fixing:

Basic information 

The pipe-line marking depending on the flow liquid is based on the VBG1/DIN 

2403, that regulates the marking standards. 

Changes in marking obligations 

Additionally to the DIN 2403 marking, pipe-lines with dangerous liquids (see § 23 

GefStoffV) must carry appropiate danger-signs and corresponding danger-symbols. 

The frequency of marking must be high enough in areas of danger (e.g. valves, 

slides, junctions etc) 

Marking and allocation 

The pipe-lines are definitely marked with a sign indicating the flow direction. The 

flow liquid is identified by word, formula, characteristic number or code in predefined 

coloures.

Fundamental principles of indentification obligations 

Pipe-lines must be marked with unequivocal signs, indicating the flow 

liqiud. The flow liquid must be identified by word, formula, identification 

number or short form. The colours are defined in the DIN 2403 regulation. 

Additionally the flow driection must be indicated on the pipe-line. This 

regulation covers all identifications for above ground pipe-lines. 

The signs are produced from self-adhesive PVC or polyester-foil. 

Corresponding to the flow direction, the direction-arrows are cut off right 

on the site. Additionally, dangerous liquids (corresponding to § 23 

GefStoffV) must be identified with the correct danger-symbol and danger 

identification.

General terms and conditions 

Validity of these terms and conditions 

The following terms and conditions are valid for all deliveries and services 

of the seller. All deviating regulations, especially the seller´s buying 

regulations are only part of the contract, if we confirm this explicitly 

in written form. 

Offers 

Our offers are not binding. All orders and contracts of delivery are only 

binding with the seller´s written confirmation. 

Prices 

Our prices are prevail ex works plus VAT. The prices do not include 

postage, package, shipping, ensurance or additional shipping costs. In 

case of any change of the price-relevant factors like wages and/or 

costs for material, we are authorized to increase the prices comparing 

to these factors. 

Special designes 

For special designes it is neccesarry to give us precise measures or to 

provide us with adequate samples or pattern. A hint to former or similar 

deliveries is not enough. In doubt, the production follows the best 

discretion. 

Increased or decreased deliveries 

In case of special designes the delivery can be increased or decreased 

by 10% wich will be considered in the bill. 

Delivery/ bearing of the risk 

We deliver, in case of no different convention, after our choice. We can 

not guarantee the cheapest way of transport. In any case, the bearing 

of the risk goes to the buyer as soon as the goods of delivery have left 

the seller´s buiseness premises or store-rooms. This is also valid for 

free delivery. In case, that the delivery is delayed and the seller can not 

be hold responsible for that, the bearing of the risk goes to the buyer 

from the moment of the seller´s notice of readiness to deliver. 

Deadline for deliveries 

The stipulated deadline for delivery is not binding, exept the written 

confirmation tells anything different. If no special agreement about the 

deadline for deliveries exists, the deadline can be extended reasonably 

in cases of superior forces e.g. strike, lockout, operational failure as 

well as delays in the consignment of essential material, no matter how 

much and if these hindrance happens to us, or to one of our suppliers. 

We are entitled for appropiate partial delivery. 

Delays in delivery 

Claims for compensation or a withdrawl from the contract because of 

a delayed delivery or a failure to perform the contract can only be 

accepted, if we can be hold responsible for the delayed delivery or failure 

to perform and you have already sent us a registrated letter putting 

us in culpable delay or giving us an appropiate additional respite. 

For any delays in delivery we can not be hold responsible for, we are 

allowed to demand an appropiate additional period of time for delivery. 

Refuse of taking the delivery 

Does the buyer refuse to take the delivery, the seller can demand an 

appropiate additional period of time to take the delivery. Did the buyer 

not take the delivery within the given time, the seller is entitled to withdraw 

from the contract and /or to demand claims for compensation 

because of failure to perform. 

Retension of title 

We reserve the property of every delivered article until you have fulfilled 

every demands from the contract including every accessory costs. 

Do we accept the taking back and withdrawl from the contract, this is 

only valid with a written confirmation. You agree to assign all demands 

from further sales of goods under reserve of property including all 

accessory costs and security rights to us. In case we see our 

demands´ forfeilure in danger, it is your obligation as our business part- 

ner to inform your purchaser in written form as long as we request you 

to do so. Additionally it is your obligation to give us any necessary 

information and files. You are not entitled to give assignments by the 

way of secutity or pawnings. 

Conditions of payment 

All sales bills are payable within 30 days from submission of account 

after all deductions. For payments within 2 calenderdays after the bill´s 

date, we grant a cash discount of 2% on the net good value. We are 

not liable to accept drafts or cheques. If we do so, this is only to allow 

performance. All costs resulting from paying with drafts or cheques 

have to be paid by the marker. The seller is not liable for the draft´s 

timely submission, protesting, information and revoke in case of nonredemption. 

Payment delay 

In case of a delay in payment on overdue interest of 2% above the 

actual discount rate of the German Bundesbank has to be paid. The 

assertionation of additional demage caused by default is not excluded 

by this. In case of cessation of payment, the submission of an application 

to open the proceeding of bankruptcy or composition by the buyer, 

the seller is entiltled to demand preferential payment or a security 

deposit. 

Warrenty 

The buyer´s entitlement of warrenty because of defects is only valid, if 

the buyer claims these in written form within 8 days after the date given 

on the delivery note, but in any case before the assembly or further 

processing. In case of a defect, we are entitled to choose between subsequent 

improvement or a substitude delivery. Only in case of a failure, 

the buyer is allowed to demand a price reduction. In case of a subsequent 

improvement the buyer has to offer us a limit of time wich is 

usual in the industrial concerned. 

We are not liable for shipping damages. 

All entitlements of warrenty fall under the statue of limitations 12 month 

after the acceptance of performance. 

This is also valid for hidden defects. 

Withdrawl from the contract, exchange 

A withdrawl from the given order, the exchange of goods and a taking 

back of goods is not possible. Do we agree to the giving back or to an 

exchange, this is only valid for our standard programm. The taking 

back or the exchange of special designes is principly not possible. In 

the case of taking back, we have to charge you with a fee of 10% of 

the good´s value. 

Voidness of single clauses 

In case, that single regulations of these terms and conditions are invalid, 

the validy of the other regulations is not affected by this. 

Place of performance and place of jurisdiction 

Place of performance and place of jurisdiction for our business relationships 

with full traders and juristic persons of the public law is 

Buchholz.

Reprinting and copying, also parts, is not allowed. Violations will be 

persuited by civil law
