DCU Ryan Academy's Initiative to “Get Ireland Working!”
DCU Ryan Academy is a joint venture between Dublin City University and the family of the late
Tony Ryan, founder of Ryanair. The Academy exists to promote entrepreneurship and innovation
in Ireland.
Over the past two years, we at the Academy have been so impressed at the wealth of skills and
talent among our Business Innovation Programme participants. Collectively, they possess over
3,800 years of experience along with the critical attributes that are key to Ireland's economic
recovery - ambition, intelligence, experience, management expertise and innovation capabilities.
The successful completion of the Business Innovation Programme, a highly intensive practical
academic course, is indicative of highly motivated, far sighted and career orientated individuals,
dedicated to being the key drivers of innovation in any new position.
There is widespread agreement in business, political and academic circles that the key to
Ireland's economic recovery and future is the development of our best and brightest people. The
Ryan Academy, through its Business Innovation Programme, is working to deliver this national
strategy through assisting participants and businesses to achieve their potential and reignite the
Irish economy from within Irish business.
In order to progress this important Initiative we have launched Career Link. The profiles of the
participants contained on the Career Link DVD and Profile brochure, demonstrate their talent,
experience, commitment and drive. Our mission is to demonstrate, (free of charge) to potential
employers, the wealth of talent that is available immediately in Ireland and to assist those
participants who indicate they are capable of creating work for themselves.
