Cut River Rock<br />
Our company, Cut River Rock, produces rocks for use<br />
on fireplaces, home interior and exterior decorative<br />
stone applications for those who prefer real stone. Cut<br />
river rock is a thin cut veneer averaging 1 1/2” thick<br />
(from 1/2” to 2”), (custom cutting applications up to<br />
4” thick are available.) This real stone veneer meets<br />
and exceeds the light weight required by the building<br />
code for walls and non support structures <strong>of</strong> less than<br />
15 pounds per square foot. Cut river rock is about 12<br />
pounds per square foot for the 1 1/2” average thick<br />
stone. Cut river rock is smooth worn edged stone that<br />
is requested by the industry who require real river rock.<br />
High quality craftsmanship <strong>of</strong> the ancient stonemasons,<br />
which is unseen today, can and is achieved by our<br />
installers. One can have bulbous joints, deep set,<br />
polished joints, brushed joints, decorative designs, on<br />
walls, on fireplaces, pillars, over concrete foundations,<br />

Bois Ecothermo Wood®. This environmentally friendly<br />
process is relatively new in North America but is a<br />
fast growing proven state <strong>of</strong> the art technology in<br />
Europe. Ecothermo wood® is manufactured using<br />
VTT’s technology. The wood is cooked at a minimum<br />
temperature <strong>of</strong> 180°C in an oxygen deprived<br />
environment. Steam is then added to protect the<br />
wood at these high temperatures. Not only does<br />
the steam protect the wood, but it also changes its<br />
molecular structure. This process adds many beneficial<br />
attributes to the wood. Durability against decay is<br />
increased substantially, all the resin is removed making<br />
it resistant to insects, and thermal conductivity is<br />
reduced, creating an increase in its insulating abilities<br />
and more. Also, the moisture content is dramatically<br />
reduced, which increases the dimensional stability <strong>of</strong><br />
the wood, meaning Ecothermo wood® will not warp,<br />
shrink or expand with the change <strong>of</strong> weather. However,<br />
we feel one <strong>of</strong> the best attributes to Ecothermo<br />

Laforge Doors Ltd. is a 45,000 sq. ft. plant located in<br />
Grand Falls, <strong>New</strong> <strong>Brunswick</strong>, Canada. The company<br />
began manufacturing wooden overhead doors in 1981<br />
for residential, commercial and industrial markets.<br />
In 1986, because <strong>of</strong> a growing demand, aluminum<br />
and steel overhead doors were introduced to the<br />
production line. Laforge Doors products are distributed<br />
throughout the world via intermediary distributors and<br />
dealers. The Laforge production line includes: wood<br />
panel (not insulated), wood flush (insulated), aluminum<br />
polyurethane injected 1 3/4” thick, steel polyurethane<br />
injected 1 3/4” and 1 3/8”, value R-16 doors. All doors<br />
are custom sized to our client’s specifications; from 1<br />
to 7.5 meters (3.3 to 24.75 feet) in width and from 1.7<br />
meters to 10 meters (5.7 to 30 feet) high. 90% <strong>of</strong> our<br />
hardware is manufactured at the Laforge plant for<br />
better quality control. Every track is custom made and<br />
each spring is individually calculated. Laforge Doors<br />
are energy efficient, very strong and lightweight,<br />
making our product extremely durable and reliable.<br />
