Cold shrink ring
Cold-bonding butyl rubber tape for permanent air-tight bonding of joint and socket connections for folded
spiral-seam pipes and ventilation ducts
g Highly flexible and stable polyethylene foil
g No creasing
Good tightness
g Resistant to ripping and able to withstand high
mechanical loads
Screwheads do no damage the foil
g Good appearance on galvanized ventilation pipes
Silver gray color
g High bonding power
Butyl rubber bonding agent for airtight bonding
g Permanent sealing
Permanently elastic butyl rubber
g Exact and permanent tight sealing
Of the non-elastic paper liner allows an even and
targeted expansion of the cold shrinking only in the
area where the bonding is made
Processing instructions:
The underground must be clean, dry and free of dust,
grease and oil. Bond the BTI cold shrink ring with approx.
10 % over-expansion without creasing. To ensure
that the over-expansion is transmitted to the cold shrink
ring in a targeted and even manner, the separating
paper must always be pulled off to just the extent of the
bonding itself. When bonding screws and rivets, make
sure there is a lateral overlap of 15 mm. When bonding
pipe fittings, the tape must be expanded until it is
also on the reduced area without creasing. If the tape
is later penetrated by rivets or screws, then you must
wait for 24 hours to ensure that the tape is completely
shrunk before screwing.
PE sealing tape, self-sealing on one side, for sealing flanges of ventilation ducts
g Very good sealing properties
Due to the high level of elasticity of the high-quality,
closed-cell PE material, the various movements
in the duct caused by the temperature fluctuations
are compensated for and a permanent sealing is
achieved.
g Good noise longitudinal insulation
Fine-celled polyethylene with a high rate of
compression set
g Easy and fast assembly
High-quality hot-melt bonding agent based on
rubber, without stripping liner
g Very good resistance to condensation
closed and fine-celled PE material
Range of application:
Resistant to most normal materials such as, e g. salt
water, chlorinated solvents, acetone, alcohol, normal
benzene, formaline 35 %, heating oil, caustic soda 1 %,
acetic acid 30 %, sulfuric acid 30 %, ethanol
Processing instructions:
The underground must be dry, clean and grease-free
Glue the BTI ventilation duct sealing tape directly from
the roll onto the sealing flange
Attention:
Do not use in outdoor areas!
