To <strong>the</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> State <strong>of</strong> <strong>Illinois</strong>, I. 0. O. F.:<br />

Your Committee on Railroad Rates would respectfully re-<br />

port as follows<br />

That following advices from <strong>Grand</strong> Master John E. Jennings, that<br />

<strong>the</strong> new building for <strong>the</strong> Orphans' Home at Lincoln, 111., was to be<br />

dedicated on Thursday afternoon, November 20th, and that he wished<br />

this committee to secure as low a rate as possible for transportating<br />

our members to Lincoln and return, we interviewed <strong>the</strong> <strong>of</strong>ficers <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

C. & A. R. R. Co., also <strong>the</strong> <strong>Illinois</strong> Traction people.<br />

The best figures <strong>the</strong> C. & A. would <strong>of</strong>fer us was $1.00 for <strong>the</strong> round<br />

trip.<br />

From <strong>the</strong> Traction Company we had <strong>of</strong>fer <strong>of</strong> 75 cents for <strong>the</strong> round<br />

trip for adults and for children under 12 years for 50 cents. "We have<br />

accepted <strong>of</strong> this <strong>of</strong>fer and would recommend that all go via <strong>the</strong> Trac-<br />

tion route.<br />
