Buques <strong>de</strong> servicio: aquellos <strong>de</strong>stinados a prestar apoyo a otros<br />

buques, plataformas u otras construcciones o facilida<strong>de</strong>s portuarias.<br />

Dentro <strong>de</strong> los tipos <strong>de</strong> embarcaciones <strong>de</strong> recreo se suele distinguir:<br />

Yate: embarcación <strong>de</strong> recreo <strong>de</strong> mayor tamaño a motor. Pue<strong>de</strong> a<strong>de</strong>más<br />

estar propulsado por velas.<br />

Lancha: embarcación <strong>de</strong> menor tamaño impulsada a motor. Pue<strong>de</strong><br />

a<strong>de</strong>más estar propulsada por velas o remos.<br />

Velero: barcos ligeros impulsados con velas. Su uso recreativo es muy<br />

abundante sobre todo en competiciones <strong>de</strong>portivas.<br />
