PROGRAMS<br />
The Summer Reading Program<br />
encourages children and their<br />
families to read all summer long<br />
with incentives, special programs,<br />
activities, storytimes and performers.<br />
Research shows that summer<br />
reading participation helps children<br />
keep up with their reading skills<br />
over the school break. Summer<br />
Reading is now available for the<br />
whole family with four different<br />
divisions, each with a night theme.<br />
Each division has a variety <strong>of</strong> age<br />
appropriate activities, programs,<br />
and prizes.<br />

Toddler Storytime<br />
Tuesdays, 10:30am.<br />
This storytime is geared for<br />
children twelve months to three<br />
years. Toddler Storytime features<br />
short, interactive picture books,<br />
rhymes, fingerplays, and music with<br />
an emphasis on movement, and<br />
variety. An unstructured playtime<br />
follows the scheduled activities.<br />
Spanish Storytime<br />
Tuesdays, 4:00pm.<br />
This storytime focuses on stories<br />
and music in Spanish for families<br />
with children <strong>of</strong> all ages.<br />
Family Storytime<br />
Wednesdays, 10:30am.<br />
This storytime is designed for<br />
children from three to seven<br />
years <strong>of</strong> age. Preschool Storytime<br />
consists <strong>of</strong> stories, fingerplays and<br />
a story-related craft.<br />
Little Dreamers (Ages 0-4)<br />
Complete a variety <strong>of</strong> fun and<br />
educational activities! Attend<br />
storytimes to earn raffle tickets for<br />
additional prizes. Registration<br />
begins June 1.<br />
Dream Big, Read (Ages 5-12)<br />
Keep track <strong>of</strong> the number <strong>of</strong> days<br />
you read to earn prizes. Attend<br />
weekly programs and activities to<br />
earn raffle tickets for additional<br />
prizes. Sign up beginning June 8.<br />
Own the Night (Ages 12-19)<br />
Complete reading related activities<br />
or volunteer to earn raffle tickets<br />
for prizes. Monthly programs will<br />
include First Friday Gaming, Anime<br />
Night, and Overnight at the Library.<br />
