Conclusiones■El <strong>con</strong>sumo <strong>mo<strong>de</strong>rado</strong> <strong>de</strong> bebidas ferm<strong>en</strong>tadas está incluido <strong>en</strong> la Dieta Mediterránea por suverificado b<strong>en</strong>eficio cardiovascular, especialm<strong>en</strong>te <strong>en</strong> los paci<strong>en</strong>tes <strong>con</strong> un riesgo asociadosuperior, como <strong>el</strong> hipert<strong>en</strong>so.■2 ó 3 unida<strong>de</strong>s <strong>de</strong> <strong>cerveza</strong> para los hombres y 1 ó 2 para las mujeres diarias acompañando alas comidas pue<strong>de</strong>n <strong>con</strong>si<strong>de</strong>rarse <strong>con</strong>sumo <strong>mo<strong>de</strong>rado</strong>. Se <strong>con</strong>si<strong>de</strong>ra una unidad a una caña<strong>de</strong> 200 ml <strong>de</strong> <strong>cerveza</strong>.■La <strong>cerveza</strong> posee compuestos específicos, <strong>en</strong>tre los que están los polif<strong>en</strong>oles, que podrían r<strong>el</strong>acionarse<strong>con</strong> acciones favorables a niv<strong>el</strong> vascular, lo que podría justificar los resultados <strong>de</strong>algunos estudios <strong>en</strong> cuanto a la prev<strong>en</strong>ción <strong>de</strong>l <strong>de</strong>sarrollo <strong>de</strong> HTA o al mejor <strong>con</strong>trol <strong>de</strong> las cifras<strong>de</strong> presión arterial.
