TROUBLESHOOTINGIf you experience problems, please first check the following list and check that:• Both units are on• Both units are properly connected to the power socket via the mains adapter (1), or that batteries arecharged.FAULT CAUSE SOLUTIONnsParent unit(receiver)/babyunit (transmitter)power andlink indicatorlight (12)off- <strong>Baby</strong> unit (transmitter) and/orparent unit (receiver) off in <strong>Baby</strong><strong>Monitor</strong> mode.-Parent unit on in Remindermode-<strong>Baby</strong> unit on in Music modewith lullaby play in progress- <strong>Baby</strong> unit on in Music mode,connected to an MP3 player- <strong>Baby</strong> unit Alkaline batteries(not included) and/or parentunit lithium-ion batterycompletely discharged.- Mains adapter disconnected ornot connected correctly.- No mains voltage.- If necessary, switch on the baby unit (transmitter)and/or the parent unit (receiver) in <strong>Baby</strong> <strong>Monitor</strong>mode.-Ensure that the display switches on. If this is on,the product is working in Reminder mode. Switchoff and then switch back on in <strong>Baby</strong> <strong>Monitor</strong> mode.- Verify lullaby play. Switch off and then switchback on music play in <strong>Baby</strong> <strong>Monitor</strong> mode.-Verify music play. Switch off and then switch backon in <strong>Baby</strong> <strong>Monitor</strong> mode.- Replace Alkaline batteriesin the baby unit and/or charge rechargeablelithium-ion battery in the parent unit- If the units are powered via mains adapter,verify that this device iscorrectly connected to a mains outlet- Check that the outlet is being powered.The parentunit (receiver)does notemit any sounds.- No discernible sounds arearriving to the baby unit(transmitter)- The voice activation functionhas been selected- Parent unit (receiver) volumeset at minimum- <strong>Baby</strong> unit Alkaline batteriesand/or parent unit lithium-ionbattery completelydischarged- The parent unit (receiver) maybe off in <strong>Baby</strong> <strong>Monitor</strong> mode.- The parent unit (receiver) maybe on in Reminder mode.- Just as soon as discernible sounds from theenvironment are present, the transmitter will beactivated. Inany case, for peace of mind, testtransmission with the help of another personwho can try to speak in the room the baby unit(transmitter) is on.- Check the position of the voice activation orcontinuous transmission ON/OFF selector.If the selector is set to ON, the voice activationfunction is active.As soon as sounds present in the baby unitenvironment exceeds the threshold for voiceactivation, the parent unit will emit sounds.- Adjust parent unit (receiver) volumeuntil sounds are audible, pressingthe + volume adjustment button (6).- Replace Alkaline batteriesin the baby unit and/or charge lithium-ion batteryin the parent unit- Switch on the parent unit (receiver) in <strong>Baby</strong><strong>Monitor</strong> mode.-If the power and link indicator light (12) is offand the display is on, the product is working inReminder mode. Switch off and then switch backon in <strong>Baby</strong> <strong>Monitor</strong> mode.39
