Dióxido de Carbono, luego organismo absorbe oxígeno, y los gases<br />
resultante de las reacciones químicas entre los ácidos estomac<strong>al</strong>es,<br />
uidos intestin<strong>al</strong>es y ora microbiana producen: Dióxido de Carbono,<br />
Hidrógeno y Metano.<br />
2- ¿Qué hace que los <strong>Peo</strong>s tengan olor?<br />
El olor de los <strong>Peo</strong>s proviene de pequeñas cantidades de Sulfurode<br />
Hidrógeno (gas sulfhídrico) y Azufre libre en la mezcla. Cuanta más rica<br />
en Azufre es tu dieta, más de esos gases van a ser producidos por las<br />
bacterias en tu intestino, y más hediondos serán tus <strong>Peo</strong>s. Alimentos<br />
como Cebolla, Coli or, Huevos y Hongos, son notables por producir<br />
<strong>Peo</strong>s repugnantemente hediondos. El Frijol, por ejemplo produce<br />
grandes cantidades de <strong>Peo</strong>s no necesariamente pestilentes (inodoros)<br />
3- ¿Por qué los <strong>Peo</strong>s hacen ruido?<br />
Los ruidos son producidos por la abertura an<strong>al</strong> comúnmente conocida<br />
como el orto. El ruido depende de la velocidad de expulsión <strong>del</strong> gas, y<br />
de cuán estrecha es la abertura de los músculos <strong>del</strong> esfínter an<strong>al</strong>.<br />
4- ¿Cuánto gas produce una persona norm<strong>al</strong>?<br />
En v<strong>al</strong>ores promedio, una persona produce cerca de un litro de <strong>Peo</strong>s<br />
por día, distribuido matemáticamente en aproximadamente 14 <strong>Peo</strong>s<br />
diarios. Puede ser difícil para usted determinar el volumen de tus <strong>Peo</strong>s<br />
diarios, pero puedes estimar cuántas veces <strong>al</strong> día te peas. Piensa en<br />
esto como en un pequeño experimento cientí co. Anota todo lo que<br />
comes y cuenta el número de veces que <strong>al</strong>egremente te peas. Entonces<br />
puedes tomar nota <strong>del</strong> olor de tus <strong>Peo</strong>s y descubrirás una relación<br />
entre lo que comes y el hedor de tus <strong>Peo</strong>s<br />
5- ¿Cuánto tiempo tarda el <strong>Peo</strong> para llegar a la nariz de una victima<br />
inocente?<br />
Depende de las condiciones atmosféricas, humedad, velocidad <strong>del</strong><br />
viento y distancia entre las personas. Los <strong>Peo</strong>s también se dispersan, y<br />
su potenci<strong>al</strong> nauseabundo disminuye con la dilución. Existen<br />

condiciones excepcion<strong>al</strong>es. Cuando el <strong>Peo</strong> es liberado en un área<br />
pequeña y cerrada, t<strong>al</strong> como un ascensor, un cuarto pequeño, dentro<br />
de un automóvil o bajo las sábanas, estas condiciones limitan la<br />
cantidad disponible de diluyente (aire) y el <strong>Peo</strong> va a permanecer en una<br />
concentración que permitirá su percepción, por más tiempo, hasta que<br />
se condense en las paredes.<br />
6- ¿Algunas personas nunca se Pean?<br />
¡F<strong>al</strong>so! Toda entidad viva se pea. Algunas personas se pean aún <strong>al</strong>gunas<br />
horas después de muertas (gener<strong>al</strong>mente se trata de gente<br />
extremadamente vengativa...).<br />
7- ¿Los hombres se pean más que las mujeres?<br />
¡F<strong>al</strong>so! Las Mujeres se peam tanto como los hombres. La diferencia es<br />
que los hombres se enorgullecen de ello.<br />
8- ¿En qué momento uno está más propenso a pearse?<br />
Durante la mañana <strong>al</strong> despertar. Esto es conocido como Cantata<br />
Matin<strong>al</strong> o Allegro. Si uno llega <strong>al</strong> baño y hace fuerza se puede conseguir<br />
una buena resonancia y ser oído en toda la casa.<br />
9- ¿El poroto hace que las personas peen más?<br />
El poroto contiene azúcares que los humanos no pueden digerir.<br />
Cuando esos azúcares llegan a nuestros intestinos, las bacterias se<br />
hacen una esta y producen mucho gas. Otros productores notables<br />
de <strong>Peo</strong>s son: el Maíz, la Pimienta, el Repollo y la Leche.<br />
10- ¿Es el eructo en re<strong>al</strong>idad un pedo que s<strong>al</strong>ió por el lado<br />
equivocado?<br />
No. La frase... ”Eructo es un <strong>Peo</strong>o que tomó el ascensor” o el poema<br />
"Un eructo bien lanzado, según la opinión de Angulo, es un <strong>Peo</strong>, que<br />
cansado, no pudo llegar <strong>al</strong> culo..." o “ el pedo es un eructo que te vió<br />
cara de culo “ ¡ son puro folklore ! El eructo viene <strong>del</strong> estómago y tiene<br />
una composición química diferente a la de un <strong>Peo</strong>. Los <strong>Peo</strong>s tienen<br />
menos aire atmosférico y más gases producidos por ora microbiana.<br />
11- ¿Dónde van los <strong>Peo</strong>s que aguantamos?<br />

¿Cuántas veces UD se aguantó un <strong>Peo</strong>, pretendiendo soltarlo en la<br />
primera oportunidad apropiada y después descubrió que este había<br />
desaparecido? ¿S<strong>al</strong>ió lentamente, sin que la persona se diera cuenta?<br />
¿Fue absorbido por la corriente sanguínea? ¿O qué carajo es lo que le<br />
pasó? Los médicos están de acuerdo en que el <strong>Peo</strong> no es ni liberado ni<br />
absorbido. Simplemente vuelve a los intestinos y s<strong>al</strong>e más tarde, como<br />
la cabeza de una tortuga. Esto rea rma el hecho que los <strong>Peo</strong>s no se<br />
pierden sino que se demoran.<br />
12- ¿Es posible encender los <strong>Peo</strong>s?<br />
¡La respuesta es SI!.Norm<strong>al</strong>mente los <strong>Peo</strong>s incluyen Metano e<br />
Hidrógeno, ambos gases in amables. Por esto, Ud. debe tener en<br />
cuenta que intentar la ignición de un pedo puede ser peligrosa. La<br />
llama puede retroceder, y su ropa o lo que estuviese cerca, puede<br />
prender fuego. Cerca <strong>del</strong> 25% de las personas que lo intentaron,<br />
quemaron sus n<strong>al</strong>gas y los pelos <strong>del</strong> culo. Y a pesar de que es un<br />
espectáculo inolvidable<br />
ver las llamas azules que producen los <strong>Peo</strong>s, le recomiendo que mejor<br />
no lo intente o padecerá la celebre expresión de “culo quemao".<br />

Sugerencias para el Uso <strong>del</strong> Bailahuén<br />
* Infusión: (Como tónico digestivo y estimulante <strong>del</strong> funcionamiento<br />
biliar).<br />
Se ponen dos o tres hojas en una taza de agua hervida. Beber c<strong>al</strong>iente<br />
después de las comidas durante varias semanas.<br />
* Cocimiento: (Como estimulante <strong>del</strong> sistema digestivo).<br />
Poner medio litro de agua y dos cucharadas de la planta macerada<br />
hervir hasta ebullición. Tomar por tazas.<br />
Descripción<br />
Se trata de una planta de importancia en la farmacopea popular de<br />
nuestro país y que es usada desde tiempos muy remotos. Ha sido<br />
estudiada particularmente por investigadores nacion<strong>al</strong>es y los<br />
resultados obtenidos dan cuenta de la siguiente información.<br />
El Bailahuén contiene glucósidos de distintos tipos y una resina que es<br />
muy evidente externamente en las hojas de la planta. Los glucósidos*<br />
identi cados en el bailahuén serían los responsables de la única<br />
propiedad medicin<strong>al</strong> que se ha estudiado farmacológicamente "in<br />
vitro", la propiedad antimicrobiana<br />
A la resina se le asigna la propiedad más importantes de la planta; sin<br />
embargo, la bibliografía cientí ca disponible no aporta mayores<br />
det<strong>al</strong>les sobre su composición química.<br />
Las propiedades más notables de esta planta se re eren a sus efectos<br />
tónicos en el aparato digestivo, v<strong>al</strong>e decir, a su capacidad de estimular<br />
las funciones digestivas, especi<strong>al</strong>mente <strong>del</strong> hígado y vesícula. También<br />
