Der „Doppelpass“ auf SPORT1:
Live-Fußball-Talk vom Feinsten
Seit fast 25 Jahren ist der „Doppelpass“ als Deutschlands beliebtester Fußball-Talk die
Bühne für die Protagonisten der Liga. Moderator Thomas Helmer und die beiden Co-Moderatorinnen
Ruth Hofmann (unten im Bild) und Laura Papendick im Wechsel empfangen
jeden Sonntag eine Runde aus Sportjournalisten, Trainern und Klub-Repräsentanten, um die
brisantesten Fußball-Themen zu diskutieren. Life is Magnifique! hatte im September 2019
die Gelegenheit für einen Blick hinter die Kulissen:
“Doppelpass” has been Germany’s most popular football talk show for almost 25 years, welcoming the
key figures of the league. Presenter, Thomas Helmer, and the two co-presenters, Ruth Hofmann (below
in image) and Laura Papendick, take it in turns to welcome a group of sports journalists, coaches and
club representatives every Sunday to discuss the most talked-about topics in football. Life is Magnifique!

Live ist live! Kompliment an SPORT1.
Das muss man erst mal machen. Rund
50 Menschen sind inklusive Aufbau und
Technik am Sonntag für den „CHECK24
Doppelpass“ im Einsatz. Der Aufbau
beginnt bereits um 5:30 Uhr, der Abbau
startet unmittelbar nach der Sendung.
Die sicher wichtigste Koordinationsstelle
für den Live-Talk insgesamt ist Jörg
Krause (siehe auch das Interview einige
Seiten weiter), der Director Formate und
Leiter Talk von SPORT1.
Perfekte Teamarbeit
Zentraler Ansprechpartner ist jeden
Sonntag der LdS, der Leiter der Sendung
(Bild übernächste Seite). Für einen reibungslosen
Ablauf rund um die Live-Sendung
sorgen neben dem Team vor der
Kamera unter anderem auch Aufnahmeleitung,
Regisseur, Ablaufredakteur,
Bildingenieur, Bildassistent, Lichtsetzer,
Beleuchter, Tontechniker, Kameramänner,
Kabelhilfe, Maske, Styling, Gästebetreuung,
Deko sowie Redakteure für das
Dopaphone und Social Media.

Apropos Social Media: Das ist die große
Stärke von SPORT1,denn in den bekannten
sozialen Medien ist der beliebte

Auf den Kanälen Facebook,
Twitter, Instagram und Snapchat
zusammen genommen folgen SPORT1
aktuell insgesamt mehr als 5,5 Millionen
Sportfans. Auch die Erfahrungen
mit der Einbindung von Facebook Live
beim „Doppelpass“ sind sehr positiv,
es werden neue junge Zuschauer
angesprochen.
“Doppelpass” on SPORT1: the very
best of live football commentary
Live means live! Hats off to SPORT1. You have
to have done it. Around 50 people including
set-up and technical team are needed for
“CHECK24 Doppelpass” on Sundays. The construction
starts as early as 5.30, the deconstruction
straight after the programme. The most
important coordinator for the live show overall
is without doubt Jörg Krause (see also the interview
a few pages later), the director of format
and talk show head at SPORT1.
Perfect teamwork
The central contact person every Sunday is the
Lds, head of programme (image next page but
one). As well as the team in front of the camera,
the recording director, producer, sequence
editor, video engineer, video assistant, lighting
technician, lighting assistant, sound engineer,
cameramen, cable puller, make-up artists, stylists,
guest supervisors, deco assistants and
editors for the Dopaphone and social media,
among others, ensure that the entire live programme
runs smoothly.
Biggest sport media brand on Facebook, Twitter
& Co.
Apropos Social Media: this is the big strength of
SPORT1, because the popular sports programme
is the biggest German sport media brand
on known social media. In total, more than 5.5
million sports fans currently follow SPORT1 on
Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat collectively.
The experiences of incorporating Facebook
Live in “Doppelpass” are also very positive as
new, young viewers are reached.

The holy football Sunday and “CHECK24 Doppelpass”
Life is Magnifique! thinks that: “‘Doppelpass’
has become an indispensable programme format
or even better: ‘Doppelpass’ is the football
task show classic, full stop”. The exciting live
programme which has been broadcast for so
many years (25 years in September 2020) is almost
unparalleled on German television – especially
commercial television. All the highlights
from the Bundesliga match day are exclusively
shown on Sunday morning and noon on SPORT
1 on free TV, in between which “CHECK24 Doppelpass”
goes out live from 11 am – in contrast
