Die Neuinterpretation
des „American Dream“
Irgendwie ist er doch in uns allen ganz tief verankert: der Traum von Freiheit und Unabhängigkeit.
Interpretieren können wir diese Stichworte alle unterschiedlich. Für den einen
ist es das Eigenheim, für den anderen die Möglichkeit zu Reisen, für den nächsten sind es
finanzielle Mittel. Viele sehen sich in diesem Traum aber auch, wie Sie in einem klassischen
amerikanischen Musclecar die Route 66 entlangfahren, oder in einem Pick Up Truck die
texanischen Weiten erkunden, immer mit allem bepackt, was man zum Leben braucht.
Somehow, it’s deeply engrained in all of us: the dream of freedom and independence. We can all interpret
these keywords differently. For some it’s property, for others the option to travel, for others
financial means. But many people also see themselves in this dream driving along Route 66 in a classic
American Muscle car or discovering the vast expanse of Texas in a pick-up truck, always loaded with
everything that you need to live.

materialisieren sich diese Fantasien
in Form amerikanischer Autos, doch
oft stehen der Import auf Eigenregie
und damit verbundene Komplikationen
und vielleicht sogar Misstrauen im Weg.
Vom Gedanken an die Zulassung ganz zu
schweigen. Um dem Kunden den Traum
des Autos, das für Stärke, Leistung und
vor allem Individualität steht zu ermöglichen,
hat es sich die kanadische Firma
AEC mit Niederlassungen in Antwerpen
und München zur Aufgabe gemacht, sich
um alle notwenigen Schritte zu kümmern.
Der Kunde kann die Modelle bei
über 100 zertifizierten Händlern europaweit
kaufen, ganz wie man es auch
von z. B. deutschen Herstellern kennt.
Import, anpassende Umbauten für die
europäische StVO, Service, Garantie,
Rückrufe und Originalteile, sowie natürlich
die TÜV Abnahme und Straßenzulassung
gehören bei AEC und ihrem
Händlernetzwerk zur Basisausstattung.
Großes Portfolio
Das Portfolio des Importeurs besteht aus
verschiedenen Modellen des RAM1500,
dem beliebtesten und größten, was
die Pick-Up Szene zu bieten hat. Angefangen
mit dem „Classic Laramie“ oder
dem „Big Horn“ bis zur Luxusvariante
„Limited“, findet sich für jeden Anspruch
die passende Variante. Mit seinen 401
Pferdestärken und einem mächtigen
V8 Aggregat, worauf sich alle Modelle
einig geworden sind und einer von AEC
in jedem RAM verbauten EU-Anhängerkupplung
mit einer eingetragenen
Anhängelast von unglaublichen 3,5
Tonnen, ist der RAM1500 in der Lage,
seinen Besitzer kraftvoll zu unterstützen.
Tatsächlich scheint der Verbrauch
des knapp sechs Meter langen sanften
Riesen übrigens verhältnismäßig vernünftig.
Nicht nur die große Ladefläche
und die schier unendlichen Stauräume
im Wagen geben Platz für Erledigungen

For all city cowboys and car enthusiasts, these
fantasies materialise in the form of American
cars, but importing independently and
the associated complications and maybe even
mistrust often get in the way. Not to mention
the idea of authorisation. The Canadian company
AEC, along with branches in Antwerp and
Munich, has undertaken to take care of all the
necessary steps in order to make the dream of
the car, which stands for power, performance
and most of all individuality, come true for the
customer. The customer can buy the models at
over 100 certified dealers across Europe just
as is also the case with e.g. German manufacturers.
Import, conversions which meet European
traffic regulations, service, warranty, recall
and original parts, as well as of course the TÜV
acceptance and road approval are part of the
basic service offer at AEC and its network of
dealers.

Large portfolio
The portfolio of the importer consists of different
models of the RAM1500, the most popular
and largest of what the pick-up scene has
to offer. From the “Classic Laramie” or the “Big
Horn”to the “Limited” luxury variant, there’s
the matching variant for every requirement.
With its 401 horsepower and a powerful V8
unit, which all models have adopted, and an EU
tow hitch fitted by AEC in every RAM with a
registered towing capacity of an unbelievable
3.5 tonnes, the RAM1500 is more than powerful
enough to support its occupants. Actually,
the consumption of the almost six-metre-long
gentle giant seems, by the way, relatively reasonable.
It’s not just the large loading area and
the virtually infinite storage space in the vehicle
which provide space for errands and hobbies
– the American fast car can even tow loads such
as horse trailers or boats.
