Eine Autofahrt als Inspiration
für einen mutigen Unternehmer
Wie es dazu kam, dass Auto Bierschneider heute in der Drygalski-Allee das weltgrößte
Jaguar Land Rover Autohaus unter der Marke British.Cars betreibt, geht zurück auf eine
besondere Autobahnfahrt eines mutigen Unternehmers.
The story behind how Auto Bierschneider came to operate the world‘s largest Jaguar Land Rover
dealership under the British.Cars brand in Drygalski Allee can be traced back to a certain motorway
trip by a brave entrepreneur.
Michael Fleischmann ist Geschäftsführer
der Auto Bierschneider Gruppe. Als er im
Frühjahr 2015 auf der A9 Richtung München
unterwegs war, überholte er „einen
SUV der eigentlich aussah wie ein Coupé“.
Der Automensch erkannte er natürlich
sofort den Range Rover Evoque. Jedoch
war es an diesem Tag so, dass er dieses
wunderschöne Fahrzeug zu ersten Mal
so richtig und bewusst wahrgenommen
hat. Kurz darauf hatte Michael Fleischmann
die Gelegenheit, auch einen neuen
Jaguar F-Type genauer zu erleben. Von
da an war seine Begeisterung für die britische
Premiummarke ungebremst und
es ging alles recht schnell. Eine offizielle
Anfrage bei Jaguar Land Rover, einige
Termine in Kronberg und dann wurde
im Sommer 2015 der erste Jaguar Land
Rover Standort von Auto Bierschneider
in Greding eröffnet.
Im Juli diesen Jahres hat die Bierschneider
Gruppe nun unter der Marke British.
Cars das weltweit größte Autohaus der
beiden britischen Marken als Händlerpartner
in München an der Drygalski-Alle
übernommen. Michael Fleischmann ist
fest überzeugt: „Dort können Kunden und
Liebhaber der Marken Jaguar und Land
Rover die Fahrzeuge erleben, fühlen und
fahren wie nirgendwo anders auf der

B. die größte Auswahl an Fahrzeugen der
Edelschmiede „Special Vehicle“ (SVO).
Bereits im Frühjahr beteiligte sich das
oberpfälzische Unternehmen an dem
Nürnberger Händlerpartner Road Star
und im Sommer 2020 ist Spatenstich
für das neue Jaguar Land Rover Haus
in Ingolstadt. Alle vier Betriebe finden
dann unter British.Cars ein Dach und
bilden gleichzeitig eine starke Handelsund
Servicemacht zwischen Franken
und dem Oberland.
Ein großes Potenzial sieht Michael
Fleischmann nach wie vor bei den SUVs,
bei der E-Mobilität und insbesondere

car journey
Michael Fleischmann is Managing Director of
the Auto Bierschneider Group. Whilst on his
way to Munich on the A9 in the spring of 2015,
he overtook „an SUV that actually looked like
a coupé.“ Of course, he immediately recognised
the Range Rover Evoque. But, this was the
day he noticed this beautiful vehicle properly
and consciously for the first time. Shortly
afterwards, Michael Fleischmann was given
the opportunity to experience a new Jaguar
F-Type close up. From then on, his enthusiasm
for the British premium brand continued unabated
and at a quite a pace. An official enquiry
was sent to Jaguar Land Rover, a few meetings
were held in Kronberg and then in the summer
2015 the first Auto Bierschneider Jaguar Land
Rover branch opened in Greding.
In July of this year, the Bierschneider Group,
under the British.Cars brand, took on the world‘s
largest car dealership for the two British
brands as a dealer in Munich’s Drygalski Allee.
Michael Fleischmann is firmly convinced
that “customers and Jaguar and Land Rover
enthusiasts can experience, feel and drive the
vehicles there, like nowhere else in the world.“
Fans of Supercars, for example, will find the
largest selection of SVO models. The Upper Palatinate
company had already taken a share in
the Nuremberg dealer Road Star in the spring,
and in summer 2020 will be starting to dig the
foundations for the new Jaguar Land Rover
building in Ingolstadt. All four companies will
then be under the umbrella of British.Cars and
will become a strong trading and service powerhouse
between Franconia and the Oberland.

Michael Fleischmann still sees great potential
in SUVs, e-mobility and, in particular, car
sharing projects. „In the urban environment,
and we have known this for a long time, we
have to think about new usage models,“ says
Fleischmann. The electric car is a big subject
for the British.Cars Group. New concepts will
soon be being implemented, especially for
people in larger cities, in order to better meet
the needs of the „urbanites“.
The new Land Rover Defender was unveiled
at the IAA. „We expect great things from the
successor of the original off-roader. It was, and
always will be, the epitome of freedom and
adventure. The new Defender was designed
with exactly this in mind and will certainly be
