Solaris Tea is a family-run business based in the West of Ireland,
specialising in the blending of internationally award-winning Whole Leaf
Organic Teas.
Founded and run by two qualified Medical Herbalists, our Teas are unique
and authentic.
As a proud member of the Origin Green sustainability programme, our
visually strong branding uses paper and biodegradable packaging to
minimise our impact on resources and the environment.

Conventional tea plantations are among the highest users of pesticides and
fertilizers worldwide, therefore we source only organically certified teas.

3 Steps to your
perfect cup of tea
Step 1: Choosing the right tea
Brewing a good tea means using the best tea
available to you and choosing the one that's
best suited for the occasion.
We have to ask ourselves:
What kind of emotion or sensation do we want
our tea to
evoke?
In the morning, we usually need something to
wake up our senses and motivate. Earl Grey
packs a zesty punch, or try a caffeine free citrus
blast with our gorgeous Lemon Verbena or 'I
speak' Be Better Chakra tea, need a gentle lift
with less caffeine? Any of our Whole leaf, Spring
flush Green teas also give you a tasty, gradual
lift to set you up for the day

Water temperatures recommended by the tea specialists refer to the right
conditions to extract the maximum flavour and benefits from the tea leaves or
herbs. As a result, we should use the specific temperature for each type of tea
rather than using boiling water to prepare tea. You can find this information by
clicking here.
Step 3: Leave the tea in for just the right amount of time
Experience has also shown that it is a mistake to let the tea leaves sit in the water
for too long, i.e. to over infuse.
In fact, in the same way that water temperature affects the amount of substances
extracted from tea leaves, the longer the tea is infused, the more bitter substances
might be extracted.
In order to perfect this final step, we should keep in mind that the brew in our cup
should present a balance between taste, aroma, and texture.
As such, to enjoy the best tasting tea, you don't have to extract everything that the
leaf can offer you, but just enough so that you'll enjoy it to its fullest!

Your daily 'Me-Time' Cleansing Ritual
Take some 'me time' ! It's easier said than done, isn't it? Yet, slowing down is a worthwhile goal
since it creates some well deserved space in our mind and soul for happiness.
A daily ritual can help you do this. Routines give us time to be present in the moment, to
embrace our inner silence, to find our new passion, or even to see something we normally take
for granted in a new light.
But where do I begin? It may help you to begin this process by
creating a daily cleansing ritual that grounds you in the present
moment. What are the first steps? Let's find out here:
1- Dry Body Brushing:
Super helpful to energize your body, stimulates the circulation
and gets the lymph system working efficiently. Super
exfoliating, it helps shed dry skin and is even known to benefit
by combating cellulitis in those hard to tone areas.
Try it for a few minutes each morning before having your
shower. I like to use a natural bristle body brush. Available in
most health stores or chemists.
Use smooth circular or upwards strokes on your legs and arms,
always working towards your heart. Smooth circular
movements on the buttocks and hip area.
Gentle circular movements on the tummy area and upper
chest.
Avoid face and delicate areas.
NOTE: Take care and avoid areas with broken skin, rashes,
varicose veins or phlebitis.
2- Hot/ Cold Showers:
Alternating from hot to cold several times during the shower
has many benefits- from energizing your body, helping destress,
stimulating your skin's and lymphatic systems cleansing
mechanisms and resetting your nervous system for a calmer
and more energized day ahead.
How to hot/ cold shower:
Acclimatize under the shower at a comfortable temperature,
increase the temperature to slightly hotter making sure you
briefly emerse all of you, Now switch to cold immersing all of
you.
Repeat or build up to seven switches from hot to cold, ending
on a brief and brisk cold immersion.
Alternatively, if you're short on time, end your warm/ hot
shower with a 15-30 second blast of cold!

3-Self Massage:
Soothing to the nervous system, stimulates the circulation, loosens tight muscles and aids
the body's natural cleansing systems by stimulating lymph flow. Self massage is a true act
of kindness towards yourself. 5-10 minutes self massage a day helps you to:
Rejuvenate your body and mind.
Try an energetic, quick massage stroke to re-vitalize body and mind. A gentler, slower selfmassage,
focusing on your breath, helps to soothe your mind and aids your body to relax.
Detoxify your body’s largest organ.
Self massage promotes the flushing out of impurities and toxins through your skin. Proper
elimination is a key part of feeling energized and ready to engage fully with life.
Stimulates your body’s energetic channels, so your energy flows freely.
According to Ayurveda, an ancient healing art using herbs and other self-care rituals; your life force
‘prana’ flows through channels called nadis. Self-massage stimulates your energetic channels,
promoting the easy flow of prana through your mind and body. This helps activate your body's
innate healing powers.

Self-massage stimulates your circulation, promoting soft and lustrous skin. Its cleansing, re
vitalizing and balancing effects promote feelings of youthfulness and help increase resilience, joy,
and vitality.

We've selected three tea-tastic cocktail recipes that are very easy to prepare and that
will rock your Festive Season Parties.
For an alcohol-free 'mock' cocktail, simply omit the alcohol! There's super 'free' gins
on the market, try soda water, elderflower lemonade or alcohol free sparkling wine
to re create some zesty fizz.
Royal Tea
Gin and tea, can you get any more classic than that?
Ingredients
40 ml of Gin
1 cup of Earl Grey Tea (freshly brewed, chilled)
Splash of lemon juice
1 teaspoon sugar (to taste)
Garnish: lime wheels
Method
1. Pour the ingredients into an old-fashioned glass
filled with ice.
2. Stir well
3. Garnish with lime wheels
Variation
Use our Berry Fruit Tea and strawberries to garnish
for a sweeter Pink Gin drink!
Green Tea Punch
Green tea gets a fizzy boost from sparkling
wine in this simple and delicious punch
Ingredients
1.bottle dry sparkling white wine
355 ml. brewed Jasmine green tea,
chilled
90 ml fresh lemon juice
260 ml of honey syrup
Mint leaves and lemon wheels
Method
Mix all the ingredients together in a punch
bowl with a large block of ice to chill. Garnish
with fresh mint leaves and lemon wheels.

Green Tea Mojito
Combine a delicious and healthy Solaris Green Tea
with your favourite rum and discover the world of
healthier cocktails!
Ingredients
1 tbsp fresh lime juice
4 spearmint (large, leaves, plus more for garnish)
4 arugula/ rocket leaves (baby)- optional
2 tsps sugar (I used raw, use your favorite
sweetener)
1/2 cup green tea (brewed, chilled)
1 oz/30ml white rum
Method
Muddle the lime juice, mint, arugula, and sugar
together in a tall Collins glass until the leaves bruise
lightly and the flavours release. Add ice until glass is
about 3/4 full and then pour in rum and green tea.
Stir well and garnish with mint and lime.
The Hot Toddy
Combine a delicious and healthy Solaris Green Tea with
your favourite rum and discover the world of healthier
cocktails!
Ingredients
1 cup water
1 tea bag black or green tea, or 1 teaspoon loose
leaf tea
1 tablespoon honey
1 1/2 ounces​brandy, or whiskey, or rum

Method
Heat the water in a tea kettle or the microwave. Once
warm, add a tea bag and allow to steep according to the
tea's recommended brewing time. While brewing the
tea, heat your mug or an Irish coffee glass by filling it
with warm water. Add the liquor and lemon juice to the
glass, then fill with the brewed tea. Stir well to
incorporate the honey. Garnish with a lemon wedge and
cinnamon stick. Serve and enjoy.
