The Joint Commission shall be convened as required, alternately in the
territory of each Contracting Party.
Recommendations of the Joint Commission shall be submitted for the
approval of the Contracting Parties and shall be deemed to have taken effect if
neither Party has raised any objection within two months.
Article 9. The Contracting Parties agree that, for the purpose of carrying
out the provisions of this Agreement, the Soviet Party shall at its own expense set
up in the Republic of Guinea-Bissau an office of the USSR Ministry of Fisheries.
Article 10. This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of its
signature.
It shall remain in force for 10 years and shall be extended by tacit agreement
of the Parties for succeeding five-year periods unless one Party gives notice, not
later than six months before the expiry of the period in question, of its desire to
terminate the Agreement.
DONE at Bissau on I I April 1975 in two copies, in the Russian and Portugese
languages, both texts being equally authentic.
