Malikite contribution to Koranic readings and Koranic<strong>sciences</strong> and the influence on the study of Fiqh inMorocco.Dr. Abdelhadi HmitouThe relation b<strong>et</strong>ween Malikite rite ‘Ulemas with theMedina School in its two components, Koranic readingand jurisprudence (Fiqh), are well known; thus, their imamin the Koranic reading is Nafi’ al-Madini and their imam injurisprudence is Malik Ibn Anas al-Asbahi al-Madini. Longago, Moroccan ‘Ulemas felt that they could perfectKoranic <strong>sciences</strong> only by mastering their rules and by adeep knowledge of their various branches. They gave asmuch importance to Koranic reading study as tojurisprudence study, so they excelled in the readingscience and wrote many books about it.The Muhammadan League of Religious Scholars Prizefor the year 1431/2010 is given to al-‘Allama, Dr.Abdelhadi Hmitou. On this occasion the PatrimonyRevival, Research and Studies Centre of theMuhammadan League of Religious Scholars publishesthis precious book written by Dr. Abdelhadi Hmitou,which reflects his eruditeness, his great knowledge ofthe Koranic readings science history, his importantcontribution to various Islamic arts and fields of study aswell as his literary talent.As usual, Dr. Abdelhadi Hmitou excelled in thisresearch, demonstrating the Malikite contribution toKoranic readings and to the <strong>sciences</strong> attached tothem, the consequences of these <strong>sciences</strong> onjurisprudence study and the considerable influenc<strong>et</strong>hey had in the Islamic countries, and particularly onthe Moroccan School. Ils considéraient avec la mêmeimportance l’étude de la lecture [<strong>du</strong> Coran] <strong>et</strong> l’étudede la jurisprudence, aussi ont ils excellé dans lascience des <strong>lectures</strong> <strong>et</strong> écrit à son suj<strong>et</strong> de nombreuxlivres.A l’occasion de la remise <strong>du</strong> Prix de la RabitaMohammadia des ‘Oulémas pour l’année 1431/2010 àal-‘Allama, Dr. Abdelhadi Hmitou, le Centre des Etudes,de Recherche <strong>et</strong> de Revivification <strong>du</strong> Patrimoine, de laRabita Mohammadia des ‘Oulémas, publie ceprécieux livre, écrit par lui-même, qui reflète son grandsavoir, sa large connaissance de l’histoire de la sciencedes <strong>lectures</strong> [<strong>du</strong> Coran], son importante contribution àplusieurs arts <strong>et</strong> disciplines islamiques ainsi que sontalent dans le domaine littéraire.
