Les enfants de maternelle doivent posséder au moins les notions de based’une première langue. Statement of PurposesIn accordance with the by-laws and corporate charter of the Foundation, the missionof the French International School is to:-Offer students a French educational curriculum to standards and guidelinesin effect in France, as defined by the French educational authorities, in orderto prepare students for the French Baccalauréat examination and for admissionto institutions of higher learning in France and other French-speaking countries.-Qualify students for admission to colleges and universities in the UnitedStates and Canada by offering a curriculum including courses focusing on theEnglish language, American History and Civilization.-Promote the diffusion of French language and culture in the context of Americansociety in a manner that reflects the cultural diversity of the Lycée.Criteria for admissionStudents are admitted to the French International School without discrimination as torace, creed or national origin. Pre-school and kindergarten children must have basicskills in a primary language. For admission in First through 12th grade, students mustbe able to demonstrate age-appropriate understanding and linguistic competence inFrench, as the language of instruction is French.
