Christine Agathon-BurtonMembre du Conseil élu par les parents en novembre 2010Christine Agathon-Burton réside dans la région de Washington D.C. depuis1999 où elle s’est établie avec sa famille. Sa fille, actuellement en classe deCE1, est élève au Lycée Rochambeau depuis la maternelle. Formée enFrance, Christine est ingénieur dans l'industrie aérospatiale chez OrbitalSciences Corp. Co-fondatrice de l’Association des Parents d’élèves deRochambeau (PAR), créée en 2009, elle s’investit au sein de la communautédu Lycée depuis plusieurs années. Elle fait partie des Comités Académique etLevées de Fonds du Conseil.Board member elected by the parents in November 2010.Christine Agathon-Burton has been living in the Washington DC Metropolitanarea since 1999. Her daughter is currently in 2 nd grade and has been astudent at the French International School since the pre-elementary firstlevel. Educated in France, Christine Agathon-Burton works as an engineer inthe aerospace industry at Orbital Sciences Corp. A co-founder of the ParentAssociation of Rochambeau (PAR) created in 2009, she has been a dedicatedmember of the Rochambeau community for several years. Mère de trois enfants (âgés respectivement de20, 16 et 11 ans), dont les deux plus jeunes sont élèves au LycéeRochambeau en classe de première et de sixième et dont l’aîné est entroisième année à George Washington University. Isabelle est professeur definances à George Washington University, une position qu'elle occupe depuis1994. Pendant sa carrière universitaire, elle a été enseignante et chercheusedans différentes universités, dont l’ESSEC, l’Université de Montréal etSciences PO Paris. Isabelle a rejoint le Conseil d’Administration en juin 2009.Elle remplit actuellement la fonction de Vice-présidente et Trésorière au seindu Bureau, et dirige le Comité Finance du Conseil. A mother ofthree (aged 20, 16 and 11), her two youngest children are attending 11thand 6th grade at Rochambeau and the oldest is a junior at the GeorgeWashington University. Isabelle is a Professor of Finance at the GeorgeWashington University, a position she has been occupying since 1994.During her academic career, she has been teaching and researching in

different universities, among them are ESSEC, Universite de Montreal andSciences Po Paris. Isabelle joined the Board in June 2009. She is currentlyserving as the Vice-president and Treasurer of the board and she is the chairof the Finance Board Committee. A French Liaison Prosecutor at the FrenchEmbassy, Philippe joined the Board in 2009. Philippe is a member of theLegal Committee and the Infrastructure/Building Committee.Michael DrabbleMembre du Conseil élu par les parents en novembre 2008Marié et père de deux enfants dont le plus âgé est actuellement en classe deCE2 et le plus jeune à la maternelle en petite section. Michael Drabble asuivi ses études universitaires en France où il est né, et aux Etats-Unis. Il aun diplôme en gestion (MBA) et en administration publique (MPA). Résidantà Washington depuis 1999, il a aussi vécu dans plusieurs pays, notammentla République Démocratique du Congo (anciennement Zaïre), le Canada,Panama et Haïti. Michael est spécialiste en éducation à la Banque Mondiale.Ses responsabilités l'ont conduit à travailler avec les pays d'Afriquefrancophones et lusophones. Actuellement, il travaille avec la Région del'Amérique Latine et Caraïbes, couvrant notamment Haïti, Nicaragua etSalvador. Michael préside le Comité du Personnel.Board member elected by the parents in November 2008Married and a father of two children currently enrolled in Rochambeau (theoldest in 3 rd grade and the youngest in “small section”, nursery school).Michael Drabble followed his higher education in France where he was born,and in the United States. He has both a Master of Business Administrationand a Master of Public Administration. A resident of Washington since 1999,he lived in several other countries before that, in particular the DemocraticRepublic of Congo (formerly Zaire), Canada, Panama and Haiti. Michael is aspecialist in education at the World Bank. His responsibilities led him to workwith the French-speaking and Portuguese-speaking countries of Africa.Currently, he works with the Latin America countries and the Caribbean, in

particular covering Haiti, Nicaragua and El Salvador. Michael is the chair ofthe Personnel Committee.Nic HaileyMembre du Conseil coopté par le Conseil d’Administration en décembre2010, membre du bureau (Secrétaire)Nic Hailey réside à Washington DC depuis 2008. Il est père de deux filles,élèves à Rochambeau en maternelle. Nic est Conseiller Politique, Economieet Communication auprès de l'ambassade du Royaume-Uni à Washington. Iltravaille au sein du service diplomatique britannique depuis 1997. Nic a faitdes études de lettres à Cambridge (UK) et d'administration publique à l'EcoleNationale d'Administration (ENA), où il a rencontré son épouse Caroline. Nicremplit actuellement la fonction de Secrétaire au sein du Bureau et faitpartie du Comité Communication.Co-opted member of the Board since December 2010, Officer of the Board(Secretary)Nic Hailey has been a resident of Washington DC since 2008, serving asCounsellor for Politics, Economics and Communication at the BritishEmbassy. He is a father of two daughters, both attending pre-school atRochambeau. Nic has been a member of the UK foreign service since 1997.He studied literature at Cambridge (UK) and took a Masters in PublicAdministration at the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA) in Paris, wherehe met his wife Caroline. Elle est avocat français de formation mais ne pratique plusdepuis son arrivée aux Etats-Unis, où elle s’est rapidement investie dans desactivités de volontariat en dirigeant le International Women’s Group (unsous-group du NIH Recreational and Welfare Association), puis en animantet développant le groupe de conversation francophone Google des « Mamansautour de DC ». Two of her three children arecurrently enrolled at the Lycee Rochambeau’s elementary school (theyoungest one is not being schooled yet). Stéphanie Kamaruzzamancompleted her higher education in France (DESS de Droit des affaires et

Fiscalité) and in the United Kingdom (LLB, University off Kent AtCanterbury). She is a French lawyer but has not been practicing as suchsince her arrival in the United States. Instead, she embraced volunteering inher local community by leading the International Women's Group (a subgroupof the NIH Recreational and Welfare Association), then by animatingand developing the French-speaking Google group “Mamans autour de DC”.She is the chair of the Board Communication Committee, and a member ofthe Legal Committee.Maher KilajianMembre du Conseil réélu par le Conseil d’Administration en novembre 2009Maher Killajian s’est installé dans la région de Washington DC en 1985. Sesdeux fils ont suivi l’ensemble de leur scolarité au Lycée Rochambeau où safille est actuellement une élève du Secondaire. Maher détient un diplôme etun Master en Architecture et Design Urbain. A la tête de son entreprisePrimus Land, Inc., une société de développement immobilier, il est aussimembre du conseil d’administration d’une société privée de constructionimmobilière de la région. Maher a été élu pour la première fois au Conseild’Administration en 2000 et a occupé la fonction de Président du Conseil. His two sons completed their entireschooling at Lycee Rochambeau where his daughter is currently a student inmiddle school. Maher holds a B. Arch degree and M.S. degree in Architectureand Urban Design. He is the owner of Primus Land, Inc., a real estatedevelopment company, and a board member for a privately held regionalhomebuilding company. Maher was first elected to the Board in 2000 andheld the office of President of the Board. He is now the Chairman of a group of mining companieslisted at the New York and London exchanges. His two sons completed their entireschooling at Lycée Rochambeau. Philippe was first elected to the Board in the fall of2000 and held the offices of Vice-President and President of the Board. Also, he playedan active role as chair of the Personnel Committee. Mère de troisenfants (âgés respectivement de 20, 18 et 15 ans), dont le plus jeune est actuellementélève au Lycée Rochambeau en classe de seconde, et les deux autres, anciens élèvesde Rochambeau (du primaire à la terminale), sont étudiants à l’université (ConcordiaUniversity à Montréal et Bath University, UK). Munie d’une formation en économie etd’un DESS de Commerce Extérieur, Catherine dispose d’une expérience professionnelledans le secteur bancaire en France. Dès son arrivée dans la région, elle a investi sescompétences et son énergie au service de la communauté Rochambeau. Elle s’estd’abord impliquée au sein de l’ancienne association des parents d’élèves du Lycée(PARE), en exerçant notamment les responsabilités de Présidente de septembre 2002 àjuin 2005. Catherine Schaeffer and her family arrived in the Washington DC area in January 2001,following a first 3,5 year expatriation in London. Mother of three children (20, 18 and15 year old respectively), of which the youngest is currently a Rochambeau student atthe College, and the two others, both alumni students of Rochambeau (fromelementary school to Terminal), are students at the university (Concordia University inMontreal and Bath University, U.K.). With an economic background and a DESS ofForeign Trade, Catherine has a professional experience in the banking field in France.Upon her arrival in the Washington DC region, she invested her skills and energy toserve the Rochambeau community.
