Vertauschte Köpfe
Konrad Mühe is a sculptor and video artist. In his sculptures,
immaterial projections, physical objects, and video content form
a conceptual unity. Since 2017, he has produced the so-called
“projection beings” that display expressive human qualities while
investigating sociopolitical issues relating to the perception and
impact of images, as well as to the construction of identity.
Andreas Mühe achieved international recognition as an artist
through his preoccupation with the German past and German
identity. Often, there is a certain ambivalence inherent in his
analog photographs, which reference the no-longer-visible but
nonetheless still palpable aftermath of German historiography.
His most recent solo exhibition, “Stories of Conflict”, took place in
2022 at the Städel Museum in Frankfurt am Main.
