President’s Message
Celebrating 40 years of excellence!
It is with great pleasure that I welcome all of you to the 40 th edition of the
Journées dentaires internationales du Québec (JDIQ).
This year we look back on 40 years with a sense of pride and accomplishment
for having provided excellent continuing education opportunities for the entire
dental community. Our profession has come a long way in the last four decades
and the JDIQ has been there, evolving along with it and providing a forum for
the exchange of new information and ideas.
From our humble beginnings in 1974 with an attendance of just 1400
participants and an exhibit floor of only 7400 sq.ft. , we have grown to become
the largest dental meeting in Canada with record-breaking attendance year
after year and an ever expanding exhibit floor.
A milestone such as this is an opportunity to pause and reflect on how far we’ve
come and to set our sights on our future objectives. With the continued support
of our dental partners - the lecturers, the exhibitors and the attendees, we hope
to continue to grow and to provide more top quality continuing education and
to continue to be the annual destination for the entire dental team to meet,
learn and celebrate the profession together.
I extend a cordial invitation to you and your team to take full advantage of
these celebrations at this year’s meeting. Celebrate by attending lectures by top
speakers, and by visiting our world-class dental exhibits. Come and experience
the Dental Industry Showcase where you can listen to lectures on products and
materials right in the exhibit hall.
Forty years of excellence is a great reason to celebrate, to make new friends
and to renew old acquaintances — I invite you to make the most of it.
