iv) Radiologi:<br />
a. Kilang <strong>Lynas</strong> juga melalui <strong>Laporan</strong> RIA, komited untuk<br />
mematuhi dan memasang alat kawalan pencemaran radiologi<br />
yang berkesan dan mematuhi standard yang ditetapkan bagi<br />
mengawal dan memantau pencemaran keradioaktifan ke alam<br />
sekitar. Malahan <strong>Jawatankuasa</strong> mengambil maklum pihak<br />
<strong>Lynas</strong> telah menempatkan alat pemantauan tambahan alam<br />
sekitar yang melebihi keperluan perundangan.<br />
“In mitigation against the release of potentially contaminated<br />
liquid and gaseous effluents, <strong>Lynas</strong> will employ all necessary<br />
technological means to render these emissions harmless to<br />
the receiving environment, in compliance to the prevailing<br />
regulatory requirements including those enforced by <strong>AELB</strong>.<br />
Details of the non-radiological pollution control systems<br />
proposed for the plant are deliberated in the Environmental<br />
Impact Assessment prepared for the project. Basically it<br />
consists of a scrubbing system that can practically trap and<br />
remove all particulates and non-radioactive gases, and a 55 m<br />
high stack through which the gaseous effluents will be<br />
released. The immediate environment around the plant will be<br />
monitored periodically to ensure that any release of the<br />
radioactive effluents will remain within the permissible limits<br />
in accordance to clearance levels as stipulated in the<br />
Radioactive Waste Management Regulations [Atomic Energy<br />
Licensing Board; Atomic Energy Licensing (Radioactive<br />
Waste Management) Regulations 2011 [P.U. (A) 274]].<br />

b. Tapak tersebut juga mempunyai data bacaan latar belakang<br />
radiologi 12 bulan, ini penting bagi mencapai tujuan konsep<br />
„cradle to cradle’ apabila pembubaran dan nyahcemaran<br />
