Tipizzazione del DNA<br />
La Polimerase Chain Reaction<br />
(PCR), rappresenta una tecnica di<br />
sintesi ed amplificazione<br />
enzimatica in vitro di specifiche<br />
sequenze del DNA che permette,<br />
pertanto, di rivelare quantità<br />
minime di genoma virale,anche<br />
quando il DNA bersaglio è di<br />
qualità o quantità insufficiente per<br />
essere analizzato con successo<br />
dalle altre metodiche.<br />
Tra le PCR di ultima generazione,<br />
ci sono le tipo–specifico, basate<br />
sulle variazioni di sequenza<br />
presenti nei geni E6 e E7 dei vari<br />
sottotipi di <strong>HPV</strong>.<br />
Queste PCR richiedono ancora<br />
molti studi, poiché sono necessari<br />
diversi tipi di primers per poter<br />
identificare i vari <strong>HPV</strong>, e consente<br />
comunque di rivelare ancora,<br />
quantità minime di genoma virale.
