VELASQUEZ, DIEGO RODRIGUEZ
DE SILVA (1599- 1660)
Pittore spagnolo, massimo esponente
dello stile barocco.
Nominato pittore ufficiale di Filippo IV,
visse un periodo di intensa attività come
ritrattista, prediletto dai membri della
famiglia reale e della corte.
“Los Borrachos”(Il Trionfo di Bacco), un
dipinto del 1629, custodito nel Museo
del Prado di Madrid; l'opera è uno degli
esempi dello stile pittorico di Velasquez,
contrapposizione tra arcadia e realismo,
tra un Bacco seminudo e l'immagine di
popolani ubriachi.
Limitata a soli 200 esemplari al mondo
per ogni versione:
1K, realizzata in resina di colore rosso
madreperlaceo; riproduzione stilizzata
del “dipinto” sulla fascia del serbatoio,in
argento massiccio 925 millesimi;
meccanismo di riempimento di
inchiostro a convertitore a vite e
cartucce standard;
R/2, roller convertibile in penna a sfera,
stesse caratteristiche della 1K; sfera con
meccanismo a rotazione.
Versione speciale
1KS, realizzata in resina di colore nero;
riproduzione stilizzata del “dipinto” in
argento massiccio 925 millesimi placcato
oro (vermeille); minuterie in placcato
oro. Meccanismo di riempimento di
inchiostro a “pulsante di fondo” (Button
Filler).
Caratteristiche tecniche
Delta riporta alla luce uno dei primi
sistemi di riempimento di inchiostro
denominato “pulsante di fondo” (Button
Filler), che succedette per evoluzione il
meccanismo a “leva laterale”. Esso fu
utilizzato ai primi del '900 ed appartiene
di diritto alla Storia della Penna
Stilografica.
Pennino
Per tutte le versioni, in oro 18 Kt.,
platinato, personalizzato, elastico e
flessibile.

ed è disponibile nelle gradazioni:

The second collection offered in the
Velazquez series.

Y- (1599- 1660)
Spanish painter considered to be the
maximum exponent of the baroque style.
Named official painter of Philip IV, lived
a period of intense activity as a portrait
painter and favored by the members of
the real family and the court.
In 1627, Philip set a competition for the
best painters of Spain with the subject
to be the expulsion of the Moors.
Velázquez won. In 1629, as an extra
payment, he received 100 ducats for the
picture of Bacchus. The spirit and aim
of this work are better understood from
its Spanish name, Los Borrachos (The
Drunks), who are paying mock homage
to a half-naked ivy-crowned young man
seated on a wine barrel. The painting is
firm and solid, and the light and shade
are more deftly handled than in former
works. Altogether, this production may
be taken as the most advanced example
of the first style of Velázquez.

Limited to only 200 pieces in each
version:

wedged resin and offers a reproduction
of Los Borrachos (The Drunks) portrait
in solid sterling silver. The filling system
offered is either by threaded converter
or cartridge.

resin and offers a reproduction of Los
Borrachos

silver, gold plated (vermeille), trimmings
gold plated.
It offers a button filler filling system.

Filling system
For the first time in its history, Delta
brings back and offers one of the first
filling systems, the button filler system.
This system was an evolution and
replacement of the lateral lever, in use
since the beginning of this century and
with a very special place in fountain pen
history.
Nib
All fountain pen versions carry a 18kt
solid gold nib, platinum plated,
personalized and flexible.
Is available in EEF, EF, F, M, B, BB, OM,
OB, OBB and STUB grades.
It is engraved with a depiction of a
characteristic element of the Los
Borrachos.
