Sport SprINGS 2009 – the complete spring package generaL information important LeSjöforS Sport SpringS... ...will safely lower your car and extend your driving limits. Our sport springs are the product of more than 25 years design and manufacturing development. We do not compromise, and we therefore have different kits depending on engine size, car model, and extra equipment. All articles in this catalogue are stock items. We also manufacture and distribute a wide range of standard and heavy-duty coil springs, gas springs and leaf springs. technicaL information The coil springs are changed on front and rear, except for cars equipped with an alternative type of suspension, for instance torsion bar. The listed lowering effect in the catalogue, which is between 20 and 50 mm, is based on new cars with original springs. Cars with an OEM sport suspension have a reduced lowering effect. Almost all sport springs are stiffer than the original springs and that ensures better road holding. Some of the sport springs are progressively coiled. Standard shock absorber can be used together with our sport springs, but we recommend the use of gas shock absorbers for best possible road holding. We recommend that instructions from a recognised repair manual are followed when fitting a spring. Special tools should always be used to compress a spring. Always take great care since a compressed spring holds a huge force and could cause serious injury if it came loose during fitment. Spring pans, bushings and link arms should always be checked for damage. After installation check that the springs are correctly located at the ends and are not too short or loose. Always check the wheel alignment after installation. For cars equipped with a self- levelling system, adjustment may be required after fitting sport springs. For cars equipped with load dependent brakes on the rear axle, these must be checked and if necessary adjusted by an expert after fitting the sport springs.
