La quinta edizione della Festa del Purosangue<br />
Arabo in Umbria, che quest’anno<br />
si è svolta nella splendida cornice del castello<br />
di Collemancio nel Comune di Cannara, è stata<br />
ricca di appuntamenti.<br />
Oltre allo show C Internazionale e all’Egyptian<br />
Event, incontri enogastronomici hanno allietato le<br />
serate dei molti appassionati accorsi alla manifestazione<br />
umbra. Il riscontro è stato ottimo (circa novanta<br />
cavalli iscritti), anche se il tempo non è stato molto<br />
clemente. Nonostante si trattasse di una nuova location<br />
rispetto alle precedenti edizioni, l’organizzazione<br />
di Walter Betti e di Cristina Dionigi, che si sono<br />
avvalsi dell’aiuto di molti amici, è stata buona. Davvero<br />
encomiabile la collaborazione dell’Associazione<br />
Amici di Collemancio e del Comune di Cannara che<br />
si sono prodigati affinché <strong>tutto</strong> andasse per il meglio.<br />
Un ringraziamento speciale a coloro che ci hanno<br />
fatto gustare i sapori unici della cucina umbra: molti<br />
<strong>arabi</strong>sti, tra i ricordi di Collemancio, annovereranno<br />
sicuramente le tagliatelle con i rigagli d’oca e le deliziose<br />
ciambelle aromatizzate con anice e passito.<br />

OW & EGYPTIAN EVENT<br />
The fifth edition of the Festa del Purosangue<br />
Arabo in Umbria, the show dedicated to the<br />
purebred Arabian, was held this year in the<br />
wonderful setting of the Collemancio Castle in Cannara<br />
and was full of events.<br />
In addition to the International “C” Show and the Egyptian<br />
Event, the many horse lovers who gathered here on this<br />
occasion were given the opportunity to taste the local food and<br />
drink. The response was excellent (approximately 90 horses<br />
entered), even though the weather was not very pleasant.<br />
Despite the new location, the organizers Walter Betti and<br />
Cristina Dionigi did a good job, thanks also to the support of<br />
many friends. Truly commendable was the cooperation provided<br />
by the Amici di Collemancio Association and the Municipality<br />
of Cannara, which did their utmost to ensure that<br />
everything could run smoothly. A special thanks goes to the<br />
people who allowed us to taste the unique flavors of the local<br />
Umbria cuisine. Among the fond memories of Collemancio,<br />
many Arabian horse lovers will certainly include tagliatelle<br />
with goose entrails and the delicious ring-shaped cake flavored<br />
with anise and passito wine.<br />
But let us move on to the competitions. The jury consisted<br />
of H.R.H. Teresa de Borbon (ES), Mrs. Renate Schibler<br />
(CH), Mr. Marco Pittaluga (IT), Mr. Manfred Hain<br />
(DE) and Dr. Nasr Marei (EG). Ring Master was Mr.<br />

Pashmira. The “Best Female Head” Trophy went to the<br />
her full sister, *Anthasia Ashiraf, one year older. Both were<br />
bred and are owned by Mr. Giacomo Boscarino (IT).<br />
