1. Validazione di metodologie di analisi (messa a
punto di metodi di calcolo)
2. Sviluppo e validazione di metodologie di progetto
PERCHE’ GLI ACCELEROGRAMMI ?
1. In un framework Performance Based Seismic
Design risulta centrale la determinazione della
“domanda” imposta alla struttura da input sismici
di progetto
Demand Parameters).
3. Date quindi le due finalità precedentemente
riportate, risulta fondamentale l’opportuna
individuazione degli inputs di riferimento in termini
di accelerogrammi
IDENTIFICAZIONE DEI SISMI DI
RIFERIMENTO
a. Caratteristiche del terreno
b. Magnitudo
c. Distanza dall’epicentro
d. “Epsilon”
e. Caratteristiche “near fied” o “far field”
II. Caratteristiche riguardanti i records nearfield:
a. Direzione longitudinale
b. Direzione trasversale
c. Direzione verticale
d. Directivity effects
Attenzione a:
Scaling
Records di
caratteristiche
estreme
FINALITA’ 2
SVILUPPO E VERIFICA
METODOLOGIE PROGETTUALI
MASSIMA RAPPRESENTATIVITA’
risposta (Engineering Demand Parameters EDP).
In questo momento storico,
CONCLUSIONI 2
indirette.

Comparison of Two Methods of Calculation
SCOPE OF THE WORK
• In this research work, we propose two methodologies for the computation
of the probability functions (CDF and PDF) of the peak ground
acceleration (PGA) and peak ground velocity (PGV) at a specific site,
over a given observation time, which are specifically developed for the
Italian territory but can be extended to any other country.
• In addition to the methodology which has been just described and which
provides the CDF of the PGA, by making use of a closed form solution
through the treatment as a continuous variable of the distance R between
the site of interest and the epicenter (methodology C),
• another methodology will be here presented for the determination of the
CDF of the PGA for the Italian territory which makes use of a, more
common, discrete (numerical) solution (methodology D).
CONCLUDING REMARKS
The two proposed methodologies:
– allow to evaluate the probability functions (PDF and
CDF) of the PGA and PGV at a specific site of the
Italian territory, over a given observation time
– may be easily extended to any other country
– can be readily used either for Performance Based Seismic
Valutazione di rischio sismico:
valutazione per un gruppo di edifici
• Identificazione delle curve I2, I3, … In relative
a ciascun edificio
taratura data dalle effettive caratteristiche
dell’edificio (regolarità, manutenzione etcc).
– I3, I4, ..In vengono in genere valutate dapprima
vengono poi dimensionalizzate.
