can be reconfigured your needs. It has also a production room,

IL TERRITORIO
LAKE GARDA AND SURROUNDINGS
LAGO DI GARDA. UNA LOCATION, MOLTE OPPORTUNITÀ
La balneazione, la vela, il surf e le
passeggiate, anche in mountain bike,
sono solo un assaggio dell’ampia proposta
turistica del Lago di Garda, ricca anche
dal punto di vista storico, culturale ed
enogastronomico.
A partire dalla costa orientale e da Lazise,
circondata da mura medievali su cui
domina la Rocca Scaligera e ricca di stradine
panoramiche da percorrere a piedi, in
bicicletta o a cavallo, per raggiungere la
vicina Bardolino, che fa della tradizione
enogastronomica il suo punto di forza, con
il vino protagonista assoluto di importanti
eventi, da maggio a ottobre.
Spostandosi a nord si giunge a Garda,
suggestiva località che culmina a Punta
San Vigilio, una caratteristica penisola
da sempre meta di visitatori illustri come
Winston Churchill, Laurence Olivier e il
principe Carlo d’Inghilterra.
L’offerta turistica della costa orientale è
completata da Torri del Benaco, con il
Castello Scaligero e la bellissima limonaia,
e la vicina Malcesine, paesino con un forte
dislivello che parte dall’altezza del lago e
arriva sulla cresta del Monte Baldo (2218
m). Riconosciuto come il giardino Botanico
d’Europa, il Monte Baldo offre ai turisti un
ampio ventaglio di opportunità da cogliere
tutto l’anno, tra trekking, impianti sciistici e
discese in mountain bike.
La parte meridionale del lago è altrettanto
interessante per la sua capacità di incontrare,
nello stesso tempo, le esigenze di chi ama
l’arte, la natura, lo sport, il divertimento e la
buona cucina.
Un percorso che inizia con Peschiera del
Garda, meta di pellegrinaggio per migliaia
di fedeli grazie al cinquecentesco Santuario
della Madonna del Frassino, e continua
a ovest con Sirmione, località rinomata
per le note proprietà curative della sua
acqua termale, conosciuta come “la perla
delle isole e delle penisole” grazie al poeta
Catullo, che offre anche un patrimonio
storico e artistico d’eccezione. Non è
da meno Desenzano, un’incantevole
cittadina dal fascino di epoca romana che
rappresenta il cuore della movida gardesana
per l’ampia scelta di ristoranti, bar, discobar
e discoteche. Menzione particolare va
infine a Gardone Riviera, piccolo comune
nella parte nord occidentale del Garda,
famoso per il Vittoriale degli Italiani, la
cittadella monumentale costruita sulle rive
del lago come dimora del poeta Gabriele
D’Annunzio.

L’entroterra del lago di Garda accoglie una
parte della zona della Valpolicella, terra del
vino rinomata in tutto il mondo.
Dal Classico al Superiore, dal Recioto
all’Amarone, sono molte le cantine che invitano
a degustare i prodotti della Valpolicella,
offrendo agli ospiti che lo desiderano
l’opportunità di apprezzare il paesaggio, la
storia del territorio e, naturalmente,
la buona cucina.
LAKE GARDA: ONE LOCATION, MANY OPPORTUNITIES
Swimming, sailing, surfing, hiking and
mountain biking are just a taste of the
many tourist offers of Lake Garda.
In fact the lake is also rich in terms
of history, culture and gastronomy.
From the east coast and the village of
Lazise, surrounded by medieval walls
and dominated by the fortress of Rocca
Scaligera, scenic roads to be traveled on
foot, by bicycle or on horseback, will
take you to the near Bardolino where
important wine related events are held
every yaer.
Moving north you will get to Garda,
a charming town that culminates in
Punta San Vigilio, a stunning peninsula
that attracted distinguished visitors such
as Winston Churchill, Laurence Olivier
and Prince Charles of England.
The tourist offer of the east coast is
complemented by Torri del Benaco,
with the Scaliger Castle and the beautiful
lemon trees. Moreover the nearby
Malcesine with its wide range of opportunities
including hiking, skiing and
downhill mountain biking onto the crest
of Mount Baldo (2218 m) recognized
as the botanical garden of Europe is
definelly worth a visit.
The southern part of the lake is equally
interesting for its capacity to meet the
needs of those who love art, nature,
sports, entertainment and good food.
A path starts from Peschiera del Garda,
a pilgrimage site for thousands of the
faithful during the sixteenth-century
thanks to its Sanctuary of the Madonna
del Frassino, and continues west to
Sirmione, known as “the pearl of islands
and peninsulas” thanks to the poet
Catullus, with its exceptional historical
and artistic heritage also renowned for
its healing properties thermal waters.
Take also a chance to visit Desenzano,
a charming Roman town, heart
of Lake Garda’s nightlife with a wide
choice of restaurants, bars, music bars
and clubs. Finally, special mention goes
to Gardone Riviera, a small town in
the northwestern part of Lake Garda,
famous for the Italian Vittoriale, the
monumental citadel built on the banks
of the lake as the home of the poet
Gabriele D’Annunzio.

The hinterland of Lake Garda hosts a
portion of the Valpolicella wine country,
famous throughout the world.
